Hiring and Firing
by arungopal agarwal on Oct 07, 2009 12:08 PM

Acute need in Govt. sector, where employees take the public at ride, as they are guaranteed upto 60 years of age. Every Govt. employee must be thoroughly screened after each f5 years and should be retired on army pattern where even a Lt. Col. retires at 50.

there was no recession in IT, the profit had dropped slightly
by BIJU KRISHNAN on Oct 06, 2009 10:54 PM  | Hide replies

there was no reason to fire employees etc. the firing was due to mindless HR hiring without logic. hundred to lakh in a few years - as if we were breeding cattle.

As seen in the markets there was a slight correction.

As usual media used this as news stock for the last one year and the recovery is news stock for the next one year

if u chk the truth, u will found that, its not the parent company that reduced ur salary. They might be paying same $./per head.
But its the Indian management of company that has reduced your salary.
This way they are still earning same $./per head, but paying u less and making more profit there of.
These are actually spoilt ideas of Indian CEOs, to prove their parent company that how efficient and careful they are.

Check the truth and let me know at chintuji456 at rediffmail dot com.

Many have got fired and removed out of job. what will happen to experience people who already worked in the companies and got fired out of the job? I feel that there are many experienced people still jobless and various companies are not hiring, because of lack of experience and high salary packages, when the companies are hiring for freshes only, then how will the experience candidates will survive?

Ugam is absolutely right. The job market is in the consolidation phase. I feel the job market is stabled. There are no reports of retrenchments. But the market has turned to ve. It is picking up very slow. It needs some more time. Let's hope for the best.

wasnt it strategy that led to the chaos and firing? Why strain your vocabulary when 2 words will explain everything - CORPORATE GREED.
