Yoga alone brings terrific changes
by Murli Devi on Nov 24, 2009 10:19 AM

One of my friend has been diabetic whose lipid profile test had shown very high cholesterol level alongwith triglycerides. Detected fastign sugar level was 319.
Diabetic medicines were started which worked effectively till 1 year and thereafter body became resistant to those drugs and again elevation in sugar level was detected despite of medicines.

He started two things: Regular pranayams, a set of 7 yogic postures in early morning. And walking in evening for 6 kilometers of which he covered 1 KM by running.

Everythign became normal. he started looking young and lost his weight from 105 to 83 Kgs. Thing is that he never broke his routine and in every manner made it sure that he follows this strictly. This is tested and tried and if you want yourself healthy and fitter just do this. Prefer to run in parks of open areas instead of treadmills as though I dont know why but treadmills runnings are lesser effective than natural runnings. Also if possible take 1 and half leater clean water, as the first thing empty stomach when you get up in morning. Don't take anything thereafter for 45 minutes. It will have excellent impact on your health and weight.

Thing is that today housing colonies are coming like anything but we hardly find playgrounds fo our kids or ourselves. We never realize its importance and now it is relfectign over the gloabl health of all Indians. government must must make it compulsory to have a large sports ground in every residential areas.

Heart Ok Please
by VishavKant Sethi on Nov 13, 2009 05:24 PM

we can take time out from our maybe-it’s-ok, maybe-it’s-not-ok lifestyle and find out if we are HEART-OK.

Saffolalife has organized free cholesterol tests for us and our loved ones. Just SMS ‘Heart’ to 53636 to get the free tests done.

Let us also gift our families these free tests-it’s only good to know that we’re all doing fine.
