SELF CONFIDENCE
by DISCUSS on Nov 05, 2009 12:17 PM  | Hide replies

the solution to all such mis-behaviour or stalking problems is to have the SELF CONFIDENCE in own self to confront such nusance head on, ALWAYS REMEMBER THE PERSON STALKING YOU OR MISBEHAVING WITH U IS ALWAYS MORE AFRAID IN HIS HEART THAN THE VICTIM FOR HE DOES NOT ANTICIPATE THE REACTION FOR HIS BEHAVIOUR FROM THE VICTIM......so guys wake up, also believe in martial arts, both my daughters only 6 yrs old are already black belts in taekwondo, so i dont worry for them, i feel pity fr the person ever daring to mis-behave with my daughters

dangers...

I completely understand Mukesh's situation. A friend of mine was also the victim of a stalker, though the situation got resolved.
Its terrible and frightening experience to go through, and as he rightly stated, feeling of harming the person do come to mind. I understand, that's how even I felt.
Beware of the slightest suspicions while walking on streets, and never go alone at times when the roads are deserted, and keep your parents, trust worthy friends and siblings informed. Also carry some amount of defence like Mace, and learn self defense as well as anti-stalking techniques from any reputed instructors, preferably women, as they are the best persons to help you out.

Stalking ...
by wagatail on Nov 03, 2009 09:12 AM

Mukesh has narrated a harrowing experience. However slapping the guy at that time might not have been the best solution. It gives the guy, who now feels unnecessarily humiliated, the self righteousness to do something more dangerous to the girl or her family. The first recourse should be family and friends ... then police. Do not try to take revenge, no matter how tempting it might be at that moment. There are enough instances of such situations leading to dreadful consequences for the victims later. Deal with such things firmly ... but do not get carried away, please.

Part of the reason...
by Globalcrusador on Nov 03, 2009 08:38 AM

Part of the reason is that chasing young girls thro' the streets of towns is glamourized in Hindi movies or chasing them while driving scooters or bikes with a view to scaring them is all considered normal. High time they stopped all this and treated them with greater respect rather than objects of sadism.

but i feel most of these stalkers intentionally targets small girls in their early teens.... They r still young and doesnt undertsnad the ways of the world. I think in the school teachers or parents can make kids aware of these unprecedent incidents before hand so that they will know what to do when such incidents take place with them or their frends.

yes, it is very disgusting that people stalk young girls. Parents and teachers need to handle this carefully and if the guy is old they need to report it to police. Some of these people may have mental problems.

a word of advice.....
by ravi krishnan on Nov 02, 2009 05:05 PM

Just a word of advice to all the parents of girls who get stalked and want to approach the cops....pls. ensure you take along with you a few friends/relatives along or else the cops dont bother....even better if the people with u are from the same colony/flats/neighbourhood...it does elicit action

its a nice article from brothers point of view.advise given to some extent is wrong,if ur from small places.if u insult a person in public even if he wrong,he looses his mind and doent know right from wrong, and doent think of the consequences to himself or the familyeg.acid throwing, stabbing, rapping etc.
my suggestion is ,parents are the best guide, then the teacher, and lastly the police.best would be to approach the boys parents and most of the times all will be sorted out.be sensible.put yourself in the same situation and then act.
dont forget he may want to be friends to boost his ego amongst his friends.
