There is no perfect job. Politics are everywhere! People do take advantage. Problems are created by a small minority. The whole world order is built to protect the majority from a tyrannical minority. Yes, if based on the goodness of the majority, there is no need for police, army, even judiciary, lawyers! We all have a conscience which can tell us what is right from the wrong!

Human mind is complicated & some are devious & take advantage of any situation. We have amongst us some of the worst & the best, thank God! A child is as innocent as one gets, trusts all, till told otherwise when it grows up!

Harish expected a perfect world, that hardly exists! From outside, one gets impressed but soon the gold-plating gives away as one enters the portals, just like certain sites which can lead you to the virus world, phew!

All is not lost! Basic thing is to be employable. Then good net-working through goodwill, that we can generate! We are always observed & judged, thank God, all can feel a good soul, especially those who matter! When everything seems lost, God will appear in the form of another human being to bail us out in the end. That person will not be seen till that time, God is great!

Harish, life is always worth living! The happiest person need not be the richest but who is blessed by a loving family! If one invests time one will get by example, despite some hiccups!

One should not give up hope. One door is closed for you, but many will open!

Indians cannot live by IT alone. Start growing your food, people!
by HARD on May 13, 2009 10:25 AM  | Hide replies

Greetings fellow rediffers!

I am reviewing these posts and am fascinated by the outpouring of some regarding the farming industry.

I agree that Indians cannot live by IT alone. Start growing your own food, people!

And do not rely on US or other countries to outsource someone else's job to you for a cheaper rate.
Dont project to the world that you are CHEAP LABOR, but QUALITY LABOR!!

Indians, be self sufficient and computerize/automate our local industries, banks etc, make the poor village people computer literate.

You know how some Indian IT companies god-worship the so-called American corporations?
They heavily undercharge for their projects.

And when it comes to do something for our fellow Indian projects what do these jerks do?
They overquote!

So get the picture???
Underquote for foreign projects
Overquote for local projects...

Where's the sense of nationalism, patriotism and charity?

So if India has to survive beyond IT, once again GROW YOUR OWN FOOD!!
Plant your own crops!!
Dig your own oil,
Feed your own countrymen first!!

But before you start any of the above, hang Kasab by his schlong!!

Good wake up call. Knowing is always not the solution. Implementation is what is actually required. I guess you reminded us all of something that we already know...but chose to forget or put in the back of our heads from time to time.

Thank you for the reminder. :)

true, this is a fact, an indian will pick ANY job if it is on a foreign soil or given by a foreigner. whereas he/she will throw tantrums when something is to be done for india. time to realise, these BPOs are a blot to our self respect and also not a long term solution for country's economic development. we'll have to develop rural india for sustainable growth.

Do not blame NRN for conscience mistakes of our own agricultural industry. He made billions of money with his own strength, he took some risk while he was young, now he is enjoying the fruits of his fast risks. Each and every indian can make this money including so called Farmers, there is absolutly no problem with funding in india. In fact agricultural industry is no more profitable in INDIA though cheep labours.
Our own farmers are responsible for their sufferings. This is competitive world, our farmers instead chasing new technologies they are always chasing for free bees form corrupt politicians and loan waivers from government. Most of the food products are growing in other developed countries 1/5 price then India grows. For example Indian farmer grow the Rice and it will cost in market least RS 20 or more. But if India Imports it then will cost only 2 to 4 RS.

Every Indian should change personally without greed for money. Corruption is deep-rooted and God only can save India. If there is no personal discipline, the law should enforce that. If it fails, God only can save the country where Rowdies and people with criminal background are ministers and they yell at secretaries who are IAS and educated. This discourages the temprament of officicals and inducing them to corrupt also. God Save All!!!!
