so, in india, stray dogs are found in large numbers and so we should change national animal to 'dog'? and crows are found in large numbers when compared to peacocks.. should we change national bird too? numbers doesnt matter, they change... but, everyone have to preserve their own identity. hindi is a language originated by illegal mixing of sanskrit and persian/arabic languages.. many regional languages have big history and literature then hindi.. so, think before u comment.

I hate it when people think Hindi is official language of India. It is not. I visited Delhi few times, the Cab drivers tell me I am not true Indian since I do not speak Hindi! India has a rich cultural history and each Language must be respected.

Hindi is not (repeat - not)the official language of India. It is one of 18 Schedule languages of India in which English is also included.

hey ashutosh, literature in tamil is more than 700 years older than sanskrit... even the script of sanskrit had to wait hell a lot of time but tamil had it's own script and literature well before... no way sanskrit is the mother of all languages of india... infact, dravidians are the natives of india... aryans are a mixed race from eastern europe and persian mix.. read history, know facts and then comment.. atleast, i could say sanskrit is a dead language (by numbers and ongoing usage of the language and books published every year)...

Aryan race did exist, but latest genealogy tests and elaborate International research has proven that Indians don't have any connection with Aryan race. We Indians except the mongoloids come from the same genetic pool called Dravidians and Proto-Dravidians.
This was first scientifically proven in 2001 and reconfirmed again in late 2008 by Indian scientists in US. For obvious reasons, Indian Govt has continuously tried to suppress these research material from public consumption
For equally stupid reasons, a few people up north feel proud to be known as descendants of Aryans. To those people, google is your friend in finding your real roots. Go figure!!!.
