Thre is no MBBS in US. Medical students get an MD degree after four years of study. They have to finish a four years bachelors degree first before they get into medical school.(medical college as you call in India). it is better to to have some knowledge about what you are talking before you say stupid things.
I found my experience related to management of HIV infection similar to the one mentioned here regarding leukemia. Five years back, when HIV anti-virus drugs were still costly, I found that basic disease preventive approach in case of HIV opportunistic infections and HIV clinical condition of the patients through personal counseling and provision of reasonable nutrition supplements showed amazing results in the patients from lower socio-economic groups. The patients were given no costly drugs, however the counselor and the physician ensured adherence from the patients to the individualized treatment regime. We know the great value of Preventive medicine, however we have still been struggling very hard to implement it for Public Health in India.
