If you are going to do all this just so that she spreads her legs for you for an hour a day, it is not worth it. Drop her like a hot potato. Better get a paid mistress of which I am told there are no shortages in Hyderabad. All the same, have protected sex.

I think we are discussing a ''High Maintainance'' Date here..
by Ashwin Rath on Mar 17, 2009 05:11 PM  | Hide replies

Very high maintainance thats all. If she / he looks at a the amount u pay as a TIP it only shows that she/he like you to be generous ... even if the waiter was wearing bathroom slippers and mixed up the drinks or served a Cranberry instead of a Bloody Mary.....

Clicking at the waiter : Ok... so what do we do ... get stylish and say "squze me..." or "excuse me" ... the former is considered more sophisticated by the average uptown gal / guy....

And what if my first date is at a Pani Puri thela... (believe me a pani puri thela works better than Le Meridian...) ? should i leave a tip ? .. "thanks for the crispy puris "

Some more tips to impress
by Truth Teller on Mar 17, 2009 04:22 PM  | Hide replies

1. Order only "Mineral Water". Ask the waiter to take away jug water as if consuming it might give you AIDS.
2. If you get any call during the date, always start talking by saying "Hey Dude .. Whats up". (Even if it is your dad who is on the other side of the call)
3. If you have golden teeth. always try to show it during eating and smiling.
4. Try to hide any tatoos with your ex-GF's name.
5. Always show pity on any poor guys you can see, but dont give them money. Tell her that you believe givign money encourages laziness.
6. Complain about the bad roads, fellow motorists, corrupt policemen and hopeless politicians.
7. Tell her about your powerful uncle who has got the right connections to get anything done.
8. Tell her about sitting next the SRK on a flight from Delhi to Mumbai.
9. Tell her about flying to London to see Wimbledon and going to Singapore to see F1.

This is obviously written by some douchebag who thinks he is too smart. Bragging about things you have not done will only make you appear snobbish. Just be yourself and she will like you for who you are. I am sure a douche like you will not understand this

No have not learned it. One should give tips only if the bill does not have service charge. And Tips should not be less then 6 % of the bill. That is the thumb rule.

Can't agree more with you aakanksha.

This could prove to be valuable to the Service Sector (Hotel Industry) for their performance management parameter & SOP!!!

the waiter does not "ask" for tip man!! it is up to u. simple. as the beggar does not force u to give but u give out of sympathy, so is tip. why compare with police? and who said tip is european culture? didn't our ancestors give "bakhshish" to servants at home? wasn't the maid given a necklace when she used to tell that a child is born?? so tipping is not bad. a waiter earns a paltry sum and works for 12 hrs. nothing wrong in giving 5 rs. to him if u spend 500 on ur dinner...

tip
by krishna tripathi on Mar 17, 2009 12:42 PM  | Hide replies

Lots of discussion on tip is going on. one gentleman has gone to the extent of calling tip a bribe!! silly arguments. if one does not want to tip, it's ok. nobody forces. but it is sure the waiter will not be happy. it's up to u whether that matters to u or not. generally the waiters earn small amount. they rely on tips more than on salary. service tax goes to govt and not to waiters. service tax is levied to charge the businessmen, doctors and lawyers. the hotel owner pays little tax apart from the service tax as compared to other business class e.g. the owner of a cinema hall pays entertainment tax. it is wrong argument that if u pay service tax then u need not tip. better argument is "i dont care to tip and i am happy with it"..all other logic are wrong...
