Inspiring!
by Pearline Jaikumar on Apr 01, 2009 06:30 PM

A really thought-provoking message. Life has in store many ups and downs that we need to undergo to emerge as a confident and experienced individual. Only in the most serious circumstances, do innovative thoughts and ideas start ticking in our brains. Trying until succeeding is the bottomline here. I personally love and apply this thought of Thomas Alva Edison in my life and career: "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work."

The idea is right Boss!!!

The solution to the recession lies in all of us whatever we think of ourselves or about the recession... The real road to freedom from the worries about the recession is to be self reliant. Just discuss with your friends who are in the business on their own for lets say about 3 to 4 years about the recession and you will realise that they have their own solutions @ recession in their mind. They will tell you @ their plans to handle this situation.
Now being in a job, I know, you have very little on your hand to implement. You have to ask for numerous approvals from your bosses to just help move the elephant.
Some of you may not like the idea... but the real test and strength of your character and value can be judged based on the originality you have... which you cannot show in a job to the fullest.
Their are several businesses which can be attempted at this moment also... But if you have any doubts then start thinking about the businesses which require little or absolutely no capital requirement... Be positive that is the mantra and remember that every business you can think of requires 99% courage and just 1% of technical know - how!!! You will come across the solutions just in time when you will face the situation. Don't think of crossing the bridge before coming across. I, from own experience can tell this much... if you can play in the job as people do in their own business, you can enjoy the fun as well...

getting back to basics
by alok praveen on Mar 18, 2009 11:37 AM

The fate of any startup depends (a good idea and team being taken for granted) only on two things....the first customers (customers willing to tryout and pay for the product or service)....and ....the first investors....people ready to invest in some money....so that the company can operate....in times of recession...both of these are not readily available so its actually not a very rife time to start...if you dont have a job or are uncompetitive to get a job...you may think of starting up..given that you have decent capital...else focus on your job wait for some time to get a clearer picture.

Identify Recession proof sector & oppertunities!
by jayan a on Mar 17, 2009 01:21 PM  | Hide replies

Why we are worried? There are oppertunities available, especially areas, where its recssion proof. Dont we bresh teeth tom? Downt we put petrol in our cars/bike tom?. So the point is finding the right oppertunity in the rt sector. Focus on FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods), other sectors called 'anyway money' and use the leverage concepts to create on going income and wealth.
i can help guys out to connect you the rt people wherever you are now, and get help in setting up large international ventures, with very low capital.
Any time you can writeto me,

Dear Friend,

As u mentioned that the online website are creating numerous avenues for earning. i would like to throw some light on the evils of the these online paying website. There are many such fake institution who charge you for becoming the member for online paying job which ranges between 5k to 15k and then vanish. On the contrary it has become as a new line of business.

recession or no recession..the idea of hungry sharks is not always true. what if you r starting a biz in a area where there is no such biz ? also if u r creative enough , you can start a noncompeting biz or biz which is entirely new..
ofcourse hungry sharks are there in certain sectors.
but if ur careful and investment is minimal, you can start biz at anytime. btw in my opinion, mainly realestate sector is overinflated in india and among few of recession-hit industries. lot of other sectors are growth areas.

MEGA
by Dev on Mar 17, 2009 08:05 AM

india has high unemployment..more than 30% in some areas..which translates into millions unemployed.
so besides these home business ideas, india needs to think in MEGA PROJECTS..
MEGA FARMS, MEGA CHARITY VENTURES, MEGA ROAD LAYING/MAINTENANCE COS. ,

MEGA FORESTRY PROJECTS/TIMBER, MEGA COS. GEARED SOLELY FOR EXPORT MARKETS,

MEGA TOURIST ZONES with first world amenities
MEGA LOW-COST HOME BUILDERS

MEGA SLUM REDEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
MEGA TOILET-BUILDING no shit to be seen in cities, please

MEGA REFURBISHMENT OF METRO CITIES
MEGA CITY RAIL PROJECT esp in Mumbai

MEGA RUBBISH COLLECTION and removal of eyesore

etc etc etc

ps: i am not a megalomaniac..but with 1 billion population ,we dont have much choice. Really, the maximum ideal pop. for indian landmass would be limit of 100million..
