Funny thing about Air Force and Media
by gyanendra kumar on Nov 19, 2011 10:44 PM

They will say all good thing about Air Force officers. Because they have a pool of highly talented airmen to exploit. It seems that only officers are required to run air force not airmen. I was also in Air Force for more than 15 years. I know how my work made officers to get appreciation at highest level. My intention to write comment here is that there is a more than lakh people who are serving this country with dedication without getting their rightful place that is dignified life, respect, acknowledgement of their hard work, salary. Because media always write about officers only. Can anybody tell me who is maintaining the highly/legacy systems in operations despite so many constraint. I know Air Force officers are not going to reply my this post. Every time, before pay commission, media report the number of officers who have applied for discharge. Why air force do not provide such figures for airmen. Because reality is something else.

stop comparing armed forces
by asha vashist on Mar 22, 2010 10:09 PM

ladies n gentlemen,
armed forces are a way of life. full of life. only about life. the comraderie, network, and bonhomie the personnel share, can put the best MNC to shame. while emoluments are not as lucrative as the Ambanis or the Tata, they can fetch you a cool life. while the world uses cosmetics to fool both age n looks, the fauji looks ever young, happy and full of josh. he / she is a go getter who wins. there is no politics of hate in his/her world. the very fact that this forum generates comments exemplifies the fact that the businessof arms is enviable and out of reach for the commonman!!!
this is from the horse's mouth!

India spends 2.4 percent of its GDP on defence. These numbers are PUBLIC information. You should learn to google up before writing grandiose stuff.

Keep reading the "Employment news" . Advertisements for all the serivces appear in this paper. You can select the proper entry point for you. Look at the eligiblity and start prepapring for the written tests first . I f you pass this test. you can start preparing for the physical test, personal interview , group discussion and group tasks etc.
Read the competition success review for tips on attcking these tests. Or you can visit the Army website.
Regards,
S.Suresh,
Trichy.
