Appa ... We miss you so much
by Raju Nadig on Jun 19, 2009 03:08 PM

My father died 17 years ago at the age of 68 . Is this too young ? we think so ... The fate which came in the form of Doctor's misjudgement snatched away a wonderfull saintly human who was the tower of strength and epitome of kindness. He was exceptionally talented , an artist par excellence , dramtist writer, a computer specialist and above all a Godly human who had a great asset .ie. his smile . We would completely forget our difficulties with that one smile and his soft advice and values that had a telling effect not only on us but many of his freinds and admirers. This is admirable because he was an orphan at the age of 6 and lived in relatives houses bearing thier tausnts and insults , educated himself to become a post graduate and professed such values which could make any man bitter i his postion . But he was one of a kind . I would regard him as a greatest teacher in my life to have shaped my value system and thinking to make me think and always see other side of every attribute to better comprehend the issues that confront us . Unfortunately , God snatched him away only to make us understand that he was only a human and destroy the myth and belief that we built over the years that nothing can ever happen to him . Miss u very much Appa

BABA
by sookti on Jun 19, 2009 03:02 PM

This message is to all affectionate FATHERS !
Children are closer to Ma/Mummy/Ba/Mom......
but they need the affection and warmth from there father too.
All of you - those think that earning money and providing all the amenities to there children are enough to be a Father- No, You need to show that You care- You need to listen to their stories - You need to hug them tight sometimes- You need to spare some time and spend it with them...........

Fathers & Sons - The passing of Torches...
by D goel on Jun 19, 2009 01:23 PM

D. Goel afternoon, 1.25pm, Friday, 19th June 2009.
Indeed there is no greater link of the continuity of civilization that seems to bind father to his favourite son.Time of course cleans the last traces of emotions after time wipes out the past and the dead.
But in tranquil quiet serene moments of dead night , one often remembers the dreams and hopes that fathers put across for their sons to realize , which they may have tried and not succeeded to embody,in their times...D. Goel
