She deserves our accolades not only for working hard(u can't go to Harvard Med School unless u work hard), but also inspite of living in the US and being deservedly financially and intellectually wealthy, she is using these advantages to serve the poor. Thats what money's real purpose is. we all, Indians, living in India and abroad should emulate her example. This is what Swami Vivekananda asked us to do for India's upliftment and the upliftment of our own souls for using money and knowledge for service of the deprived is the true way to happiness. Way to go girl! My best wishes with you.

and lets not blame her for being born in wealth, and in a developed country, its not her fault, many people inspite of being born In India and living in India for their whole lives do nothing worthwhile for India and her poor masses. The place doesn't matter but work does.
another one of those india shining stories....so many poor people here do not even have the basics!frankly i am fed up...u always have great indian acheivers...but what we do as a society is criminally negligent.
how come the north indian fanatics are not calling it 'politics' now? how come they've not started commenting on rajnikanth's skin colour and about chennai not speaking hindi?
For a person who already has "everything", this kind of statements fit well. May be next time she should wish to be born in poor part of Orissa or Bundelkhand and let's see if she makes such statements again.
