Alright, tell us how much is the corruption level? Is it higher than those highly corrupt Politicians or more mind boggling than Administrative services or it is more worse than Public Distribution? Please be honest.

Sub standard trainings and in efficient Indian military
by Tippu Sultan on Jun 14, 2009 06:51 PM  | Hide replies

Check you tube and you will know how professional the air force trainings are, it is out dated as mentioned by US air force. Have you seen these army officers (junior ranks to senior ranks) most of them are over weight and are mere drunkards. What modern technology and trainings the Service chiefs are talking about. On 26/11 the most basic Standard Operating Procedure was not carried out! Ie; to sanitize the area around the hotels and to clear off all the media and cameras from the area. The devastating loss of life was caused because of ignorant and ill equipped army (commando) operations. Those terrorists were getting live updates from Pakistan on the scene outside as they went on a killing spree accordingly. Israeli military have commented on this issue and have ridiculed our so called professional army.
It was our under equipped police who nabbed one terrorist alive. If we have a strong internal security system in place then we don’t need to spend so much on military. Look at the way the Police departments across India have been ignored. They are in very bad shape. This is where we need reforms and not in military if we have to progress
Do you know how those terrorists entered Mumbai?
After getting help from Pak Navy when they entered International waters where they were confronted by naval coast guards, terrorists killed some while one showed them the way to Mumbai at Gun point. Brave fu---- soldiers! Or Jaya ho hindustan! Indians can decide.

THE CASES WHAT WE READ OR LISTEN ON TV ARE FEW EVERY DAY SOME JAWAN SOME NAUSAINIK SOME AIRMEN IS GIVING HIS BLOOD FOR THE NATION. AND WE ALL SAY THEY ARE ONLY DOING THEIR DUTY FOR SOME MONEY WHICH A MORMAL MBA/CA/IT PROFESSINAL DO. THIS IS THE ATTITUDE WHICH WE PEOPLE OF INDIA HAVE TOWARDS OUR ARMED FORCES. Hi Tippu,

Lots of your information seems inaccurate or not verifiable.

First, I believe the terrorists were confronted by Indian coast guard, but there is no way that terrorists hijacked a coast guard vessel. The Indian coast guard vessel will have to provide hourly status reports about its situation & its position. If someone hijacked it, it would probably change position and sailors would not send out reports, indicating something wrong. I believe the hijacked fishing boat was confronted by a coast guard vessel, but since the license was in order, they let them go. I believe this is some crap from the media.

Also, what makes you think the coast guard will allow another vessel to come within boarding distance?

And.. what sense does it make when you say the coast guard vessel showed the way to Mumbai? Do you mean the terrorists didn't know the way to Mumbai with GPS devices and needed a pilot ship? The only thing that could have happened is the terrorists killed all unexpecting sailors on the coast guard vessel.
Why let a guy show the way? He could radio HQ for all you know!

Secondly, hell to youtube.. there's a lot of crappy stuff.

Third, Israel said the NSG were well trained, but failed to cordon off the area or get any intelligence on the attackers. It did say the NSG were well equipped and well trained. Thats all it said.

Please verify your information before you comment.

What is the difference, if I join the Police, IAS or IFS instead. The pay scales are the same and I would have extra income because of public dealings where I come across many who willingly bribe.
We all do jobs for earning secure source of money. However, the risks and demands of Army are too high compared to the compensation in pay package.
A bad deal, but still better than no deal at all!

Please refer to my earlier post on this thread. Am planning on returning to India by March 2010. I earn very good money here in US but I can work for even 10% of what I get here and if there is ANY provision I don't wish to take any benefits! My only dream and wish is to serve my motherland, here many young Americans serve their motherland after passing though the Univs. I got so many questions to ask, sent an e-mail to Army and Air Force officials along with my credentials and experience.

sorry sir but not every person is do the particular job just to earn only money. Fame, Honour, Pide and Patriotism are the other aspects which are far beyond thereach of the money. so next time dont say that every one do the work for the money only. Ihope u got my point.
Those who work for only money are fools.

Listen my friend, Pratap, I don't want to badmouth you or say that you are right or wrong. All I want to put across is that, if you think that there is so much dirt in our armed forces, why don't you take the initiative of setting things in order by joining the defence forces. It is easy to condemn and complain, man. Takes courage, real courage to be an army man.

Perhaps you are on far east , a true BOKA unaware of Kashmir. You might have seen Kashmir issues in Media only who like IN-HUMAR RIGHTS COMMISSION only talk in favour of vote bank and give dam importance to commondos and officers who are loosing their life. Why they should not rape if its true ? If Kashmiris call them selves Indian, then why do they give shelter to the terrorists ?

Quality of Indian army is best proved in KARGIL war...!!! India give freedom to BANGLADESH in 14 days & our now as per your statemnt the great forces took few months to take THE KARGIL which is already part of INDIA & even the acquisition of KARGIL had not came to notice to military for 3-4 months. Shame on our Indian forces, they only know to rape the girls & women, violating human rights. And they can't do more than that.
