Careful selection required

Be careful when you select a college. Most of the agents who canvas students for the UK colleges are not capable to provide proper advise. There are umpteen number of colleges in UK who provide the MBA degrees. Don't expect a decent job after passing out from the 3rd rate colleges. The agents are interested as they get commission from the colleges.

Unlike the MBA courses in India, in UK the clssroom sessions are conducted only for 2 days and then you are free. It is 'expected' that students should do self-learning using libraries. The course contents and the work load are 1/10 of a typical MBA course in India. Most of the MBA students in UK use their free time to do part time work. And they undertake menial work - like washing plates in hotels, security jobs, selling calling cards, pan, pani puri etc. at the roadside vendor. The per hour rate as per rule is around 6 pounds, and our guys go for rates as low as 2 - 3 pounds. So the MBA students in UK are more focussed on their survival than their studies. This is the trend.

To me a MBA from a local college in UK (leaving aside the major Universities) doesn't even give the guy/gal an upper edge in the marriage market. UK promotes it as Education is their 2nd or 3rd major revenue stream. Don't fall prey to the colleges and their agents. And be careful when you select your universities.

Education in UK

I have 2 yrs work experience?does doing MBA in UK help my career?
I think I am late for applying for this sem, what should I do?
What are the future prospects after completing the course? Will I get a job?
Do we get any scholarships?

To all readers, UK Universities would do anything and everything to get international students, they will say all kind of nice and sweet words and show wonderful dreams and a very bright future on paper, but the reality of this is all this done only for the fees they get from international students.
Consultants in India get good money for each student, International officer at the university gets good money on International student admissions.

Once you pay your fees and get into the country the whole game changes

Suddenly Brit's will remember about the new immigration rules, tax rules, visa fees, British jobs for British People rule and all sort of nonsense one can ever think off...

So bottom line is all they need is fees from us, reason being a British national doing his master's degree will only pay about 3,000 whereas an international students pay above 10,000 at an average university, and universities need money to survive.

This is not to discourage anyone. I just thought this is help you guys to make right decision
