This article has been on rediff for the last three days. Rediff , probably has nothing more worthwhile to offer to its readers or their editorial staff holds an IQ that matches an Idiots. Nothing of consequence matters to them.

Beware of Matrix telecom - global sim cards
by Rahul Oberoi on Jul 26, 2009 01:56 PM  | Hide replies

I took the matrix connection for a three-week business trip to the USA and suddenly, i receive a call from the credit card company that Matrix has debited Rs. 1.25 lacs from my account!

the surprising part is that i still have not received the bill online or by post, nor had i had any information about the transaction they made. I called up the customer care and they said that the bill is of 1.50 lacs . they said that the billing is generated electronically and hence the margin for error is less.

I am planning to send them a notice. BEWARE STUDENTS moving abroad this fall. They are targeting you all. BEWARE of MATRIX SIM cards.

you should accept/fix limits for card debit, may be 10-15000/-
card giving should be avoided
all credit card based co's are fraud companies-they loot the customers
thrice i was denied matrix card as i did not permit them free swipe of my card
also, international roaming charges are different for mobile cos-they also take you for a ride
if you disconnect the unwanted incoming call,it is also billed
while travelling, you may not be making calls, but your cell will be connected to various service providers and they keep billing you even if you are not connected/made a call-after a month,it is so diffcult to fight with them and if you sweet talk, sometimes they waive it off
