Putting down my own view here. I'm in a relationship, and both my partner and I WANT to be faithful to each other. Guess the importance of fidelity depends upon the kind of person u are, and the importance u attach to ur relationship and ur partner.
I think its imperative to love your partner..well sex is different..those who confuse the two can think its necessary to stick to one partner and not otherwise.
fidelity is not only overrated; its importance is exaggerated. for disciplinarians it is good as in any other area of life. otherwise whar spark, what fun is there if you are bound like a chained dog ?
