CFA Institute CFA is not valid in India
by Amit on Dec 22, 2009 10:37 AM  | Hide replies

But this CFA is not valid in India and is not recognized by the UGC or AICTE. No one can get govt. jobs with this CFA. The only CFA that is valid in India is CFA issued by ICFAI. So after spending lakhs on this American CFA what good is it if you cant get a job in India.

This is not people who wants to work in gov sector..so please excuse CFA institute. It's global recognition & doesn't need recognition of UGC or AICTE,which can never match the standards of CFA institute..coz it changes syllabus every year based on market research..unlike we study 10-15 year old syllabus in AICTE approved univ..

CFA Level-II Candidate.

Amit, you seem to be a chamcha of ICFAI which is nothing but s**t institute..

Its ICFAI which doesn't have recognition. Despite looting students with lakhs of money every year.. the infrastructure is pathetic.. ICFAI institutes does not even have campus.. ICFAI has been debarred from UNIVERSITY status

If you don't know anything, then don't spread misinformation.

Anyways, since the American CFA is very costly and no preparatory classes are offered, it is good that people take the ICFAI CFA for the classes and go for CFA Institute CFA later after getting a job. Thus they can have best of both worlds.
