Congratulations All. Regarding performance of the nation-I recollect one story. One Indian (probably Ramanuj) went to Japan, where he saw the art of growing dwarf trees. Trees-that are 30 years old-but can not grow beyond the earthen pot. If planted in the ground-trees like mango etc. can grow into huge trees. But Ramanuj was surprised to see the stunted growth. He wanted to know the technique. He was told that technique is to cut the roots. THAT"S IT. That's how one can keep a nation dwarfed. Cut it from its civilisational roots. Chinese have rewritten there history in many ways-but Changez Khan is their national hero.He conquered the world at one time. Indian history glorifies those who conquered India.This history-written under guidance of Indira Gandhi, Nurul Hasan and Arjun Singh-needs to be discarded. You can not be proud of yourself and others at the same time. You can not be proud and ashamed of yourself at the same time. That is where education,culturing and role of society comes in to play.
It is really heartning to see talented people like you exists in our country. Regarding China issue , after seeing this news item, I googled to know about the performance of chinese in different exams. And My GOD , chinese are really much much ahead of not only us but entire world. I saw that in Physics Olympiad , Mathematics Olympiad they are getting top spots for years and the difference between them and others is always increasing. I also saw one discussion forum(Indian) of people preparing for Physics Olympiad. There one student asked how to defeat chinese , and the respondant replied that this year Indian team tried everything possible , but they were no where close to the score of chinese. I think China is going to be the most powerful country in the world very soon , and we should be prepared for this eventuality.
