today children or youth perse is direction less due to lack of value based education.....they want to try everything without understanding its nuances.....the education of right values through comics like Aamar chitra katha is always refreshing......The cartoon serials like hanuman or Mahabharta even is getting its inroad.....market is there for value based good things,it is we to harnish it.....
Today's youth are more interested in external show off rather than internal beauty. So for them cricketers and film stars or even item girls or mafia dons are heroes rather than scientists or philosophers.

I think Indian youth are a confused bunch, having grown on overdose of glamor and movies. When an aging, chain-smoking actor (SRK) is named as 'Youth Icon of India' by MTV India, you know something is wrong...either they have a dearth of real heros are they are getting confused between 'reel heroes' and real heros. For those Indian who have not lived outside of India, in most foreign countries, they don't call thier male actors as 'HEROS'...they just call them actors or lead actor to be more specific.

This is true. Indian get lost in story of Ramayan and Mahabharat. Never learn anything that change behaviour in practical life. Thats why we have chaose, violance everywhere. Unlike west where they could relate to bible stories so deeply that it changed their behaviour. It made them responsible citizen. Thats why they are ahead of us. We need training from Ramayan, not just story and fantasy. And people keep doing dirty thing in real life. Thats why the world laugh at us. They say hindusim has failed. It look good only on paper. Why cant it change people's behaviour and make them responsible citizen like other country.

People are not REALLY learning ethics and morals from Ramayana and Mahabharata and that's the problem. They just treat them as stories and that's the mistake.
By the way the US reads its Bible a lot but still has one of the worst violence in the world - can you explain that???
