Culture of the west and India are very different. No need for an article like this here. Sex is still a taboo word for most the teens and adults in Indian culture.

"Sex is still a taboo word for most the teens and adults in Indian culture"
- and Neanderthals like you want to keep it that way.
Don't comment on Indian Culture, especially aspects you know nothing about.
Sex is a natural phenomenon to which Indian society was very receptive and open about until the Colonial Nation-Builders taught us otherwise.
It is because of this secretiveness and "taboo" attitude that the lives of many youngsters get ruined, and it is this attitude also that gives rise to fear and unenlightened speculation regarding the phenomenon.

Too much sexual liberation like in the West ultimately ruins the society and the country of its good culture, ethics and moral values. Best example is west.
If desis want to have drugs, disoriented mindset, confusion about life, disrespect for parents and elders, trashy lifestyle , too much depression and many other hidden but widespread issues to become part of their country and region then please go ahead with the first important step for achieving all this i.e too much Sexual liberation.
If Not then India ia doing good we are not too conservative like Gulf and Not (more importantly) too liberal like West

Jay B,
I know what you are thinking and you are right, but only in a particular context.
First of all, let's leave the West alone. We have enough problems in the east and we don't need to act holier-than-thou, especially since gang rapes, Mukhtar Mai type incidents etc happen in the "East" more than anywhere else (that is a fact, by the way).
Secondly, when you say India is doing good, you are referring to the India that you and I sitting in cities are able to see - moreover, that too what we see has nothing to do with what happens behind closed doors.
We teach our children to fall in love (Yash Chopra, Karan Johar, et al) but when they do we talk about caste barriers, language barriers, religion barriers, the list goes on.
In the process we create more amputated spirits than we can count. So lets get our own house in order first.
I think we need to be open without being vulgar. How does that sound?
