We dont know
by Ram Parasuram on Dec 08, 2009 02:17 AM  | Hide replies

We dont know what people from other countries do. We happen to fly by one flight out of thousands at a given time so we cannot even guess what happens in other flights.
Do you know what Tunisians do when they fly in Air France. We dont know!
Even in US and UK there are bad people. Dont label Indians as the worst passengers.
Be proud that we Indians never go into an Airline with an intention to kill fellow passengers.
Every human has an attitude.
Jai hind.

Indians on international flights
by Vipin Jain on Dec 08, 2009 02:13 AM  | Hide replies

All this ugly behaviour of a few Indians (going abroad/ returning for the first time) is due to 'paisa vasool' culture prevailing in our country
This mindset has been created on a/c of mistrust, cheating, shortchanging indulged in by all sorts of service providers in the country.
But, the persons who are frequent fliers, are as good as any other international travellers.

Anyway, image of the nation is tainted when people indulge in ugly behaviour. Not for nothing, the term 'Ugly Indian' has come into vogue.

demanding indian passengers

I myself work with an international airline as chief purser..and who can know it better than me..its unfortunate but true that indians are amongst the worst mannered passengers.if they pay Rs10 then they expect Rs100 out of it.and such people become embarassment for our country on international level.my multinational crew hate doing indian flights only becos of their demanding and rude behaviour.can anybody believe that they fight and argue for not providing papad and green chutney with their beer and that also on the flight from Milan to Mumbai....they think that they own the aircraft after buying cheap discounted tkts...its really shameful and i always have to be ashamed in front of my crew for this behaviour of my countrymates...

Yes these kind of people really bring a lot of disrespect to our country and lead to us being branded as Uncouth and uncultured.

there are all kinds of passengers and much worser than the above from developed countries but the way they misbehave is different and they do it only when they are sure that nothing will happen to them unlike our guys who do it less smartly.

For ex. i was on a flight from frankfurt to US when one of the persons loudly, angrily and harshly mentioned hmmm vegetarian when the indian guys food was being given by the airhostess (who obviously gave it with a spoilt and frustrated face).

Its good that we are talking--but Indians are not the only rude ppl on long flights--I have seen worst behaviours from mailland Chinese, South Americans..etc... Its the poverty and big population that were to blame--its takes effort to get things done in land, so when one is on outside flights, same behavious kicks in to demand attentions, as if fighting with train TT to convert his waiting list ticket to reserved.

yes..i came on the delta non stop from atlanta to mumbai few months ago..
there were a bunch of loud gujju's among many in the 16hr non stop flight..and as long as they were awake.. the loud chatter across rows and seats went on..
and finally before landing.. they all put their luggage near their legs..blocking window seat passengers incase of an emergency exit situation..
when informed of this danger by the air hotess, they started scolding her for talking abt such things such as emergencies and it was wrong and would be bad luck to talk abt such situations during landing..hahaha..
i agree its an ultra long flight. but what is the need to get ur luggage down before it has landed or run towards the doors even bfore docking..and switching on mobiles to say we've landed even while landing..
typical train mentality.. and brings bad name to other decent gujju's and Indians in general as well..on international routes
