She had not so secretly been nursing the fond hope of getting the booker for several years and used to fawn over the winners till Ms.Arundhati won it. Thereafter, she wore the mask of fake contempt for the prize and began rambling on why Indians should stop looking at the west for recognition !!!
It was Jan of 1998. A gory incident the Graham Staines and childrens murder had shocked the country and all civilized citizens cutting across political parties and religions voiced their condemnation for the same. Then this lady wrote in an article questioning the reasons and representing the mass condemnation as an excess.
Although the time is changing, we should still insist on family values and try and imbibe those to our generations to come. We are not dogs who doesn't know who has fathered him or a bitch(female dog) who would be allowing for a male dog to jump on her back and do ....
Here is the Joke about a kind of Family life the US people are going through -
After two days of their marriage of an US couple - wife got up early in the morning and came screaming to her husband and shouted "Darling darling please get up fast , your children and my children are fighting".
So before the marriage both of them had their own children - probably born to each of them from some separate partners.
Except this writer would we prefer over children to live this kind of life.
The entire happiness of human beings life lies in good family life. It doesn't matter whether you are a good writer or not, good family values are must to leave a happy life

hey reddy first you must teach ur andra kids not to cheat, do fraud, copy etc.. Before you bring US couple into the picture realise that your kids must stop taking 100 million dowries because they came to the same US.
Of none of the american women would give a second look to your ooogly and smeellly reddy ppl

I have ready only few of Shobha Des article. But I am her fan not becuase she is a good writer, but mainly becuase inspite of being so modern she is taking care of such a big family and she has maintained herself beautifully. All women should learn from her.

big family huh? herself has more than 6 kids and don't know slept with how many men in life. how can she be role model? she criticize every women as if she is saint. not buying it
Shoba De is a cynical character criticise every damn thing just to earn a name 'critic'. She is curse to the present generation. The best response we should give is to keep the children away from her influence and we should neither buy nor talk about her useless books. If you make her earn by her writings you are encouraging someone to ruin the youth further.
