discrimination
by Guest on Sep 27, 2009 12:40 AM

I understand few people are discriminated bcoz of language/state/age/sex, some people are not even contacted once their resume is sent bcoz these details are mentioned in the resume. The worst part is there is no guarantee that you will not be discriminated once you land a job as well, coz if the hr does not discriminate you new manager might. Its a shame that big MNCs that boast of transparency also have this kind of people who mess with the motivation of innocent and hard working employees.

Actually HR is a idot who don't know any thing but shows that he is a one who know every thing. A lot of them can't identify a good person.

Good Article

Employers today regularly recruit and replace raw talent and look for novel ways to lower expenses
The available job positions have become more competitive with each passing minute. A four year college degree does not hold much merit anymore, they are a dime a dozen. With the advent of globalization, corporations continually search for cost effective employment solutions that sometimes inevitably end up somewhere over on the other side of the oceans.

the quality of the people we have in software industry sucks. Unless you are arrogant being affliative does not help.I learnt this hard way. Professionalism and all only to a limit after than you have to take a stick

Not applicable in India
by P D on Sep 01, 2009 01:09 AM  | Hide replies

In India Employer expect only one thing and that is you should belong to the same state as of the Interviewer.
Just answer one question "So you are from which state?" and you are selected or I will call you later on.
