It is for all those rubbish and Narrow minded people who dont know how to appraise. Think Tulsi as your own son, then also you would be having same thoughts my dear literate(mentally illiterate) indians. - Narendra Singh Nagarkoti

if u think that world is flat it does not mean that u r correct. completing Ph D at the age of 21 proves that he is a prodigy.no doubt prof predhiman ws also a prodigy. but one's achievement doesnt discredit another's.
skipping college or school was due to his brilliance.nd passing CSIR NET just at the age of 13 proves him a super genius the record which shall be remain unsurpassed .if u r having problem in recognizing his talent then do remember his MSc at 12 is, forget india ,a world record

Whatever we do, we do to earn money, and more money.
we are really far-away from the understanding/enviornment where people come with inventions/discoveries and solutions.

Achiever ?
by Sphinx Travel on Sep 06, 2009 02:21 PM  | Hide replies

This one started cramming up young. India is a land of crammers and 'EXAM SPECIALISTS' and most of these 'specialists' start young. Is that an achievement ?

In the last 1000 odd years India has contributed very little to science (other than contribution of '0' some 4000 yrs ago). No invention has been made by Indian scientists though many have 'patents' since the last 20 yrs or so but really nothing can be called an invention.

So we lionise these crammers, it creates publicity for more crammers & more low achieveing 'highly-qualified' individuals are produced. In India, Bill Gates, Steve Ballmers & Larry Ellison couldnt have succeeded due to the exclusive 'pundit only' discrimination policy, which was 'castiest' earlier, now it is 'educationist'.

So instead of looking at this man's 'achievement' lets put it in perspective & see, where his contributions stand in 10 yrs time in our land of midgets and under achieveing 'software engineers'. I wish this media created effigy the best of luck.

Come on!
This young man is gifted and hard working. Why the hell would any one call him a crammer or a media creation.
I wish Dr Tulsi all the best. Whatever he has achieved (fulfilled his own aspirations) is tremendous.
Well done Dr Tulsi.

Dr.Tulsibhai, Ph.D........
by Cedric Vaz on Sep 06, 2009 01:58 PM

Dr.Tulsi is in all probability a child prodigy like the musical genius Mozart and our own mathematician Shakuntala Devi. Very often these persons are born as autistic savants and there is every possibilty that as they grow older they gradually lose their mental genius capabilties. Hence they may not be able to achieve much later in life. So one should not put too many hopes and aspirations on to them!

he has already achieve a lot. at this achievement itself he has made india proud. but for critics no achievement is big one so there is no need to wait for 20 years. admiration doesnot seek time limit. I admire Dr tulsi at present itself

Child prodigy - A Farce
by waste cricket on Sep 06, 2009 01:24 PM  | Hide replies

Now a days, exibiting some children as child prodigies in some or the other field has become a money making opportunity for their parents. It was evident from Budhiya, the marathon wonder and so many children in talent search shows. Nobody knows or bothered to know hom much mental tensions and pressures such kids would be going through.

Now we have this guy, who appears to have sacrificed his entire childhood and teenage for the sake of studies, without actually enjoying anything in life that he should have had to.

Kids, reasearchers say can learn 14 different languages at the age of 4 and also they will have tremendous capacity to grasp things. So, any kid when forced to focus only on studies all the 24 hours from such a tender age of 5 or so, they can definitely become PhDs or masters by the age of 18,19,20 or 21.

But, the fact remains that, nobody actually knows the impact of this rigorous training on his/her future capabilities.

By cramming you can complete BSc or MSc, but not Phd. YOu should know the difference between othr courses and Phd.

Phd is not about cramming up, you do experiments and prove your findings. Although I have not read his thesis, but Phd can't be done through just cramming.
