no.. The code is same for same kind of card( mastercard or Visa) Meaning.. If you have 2 cards ( mastercard) let it be 2 different bank or same bank card code remains same..
This is very good step from RBI But i would like to suggest one more step towards security. While swiping at merchant terminal make ATM pin/password compulsory like some of SBI cards do have.
common man already been deceived by businessmen by carloans, personal loans, big malls, etc etc all bogus propaganda. for example , a mobile is offered for just 3999 but the mrp is 12999/-. how ? either the original cost is rs 3999 or the seller may be a mad person to sell at loss.

Hi Prasad, See the thing is when it shows that MRP is way higher than the actual price offered, consumer feels good that he is getting a heavy discount. In realilty that MRP is not the actual price of that product, in fact the cost is much lesser than 3999 but how does it matter to you? Seller is going to make profit any which way, you should only see how much can you afford and go for that price. Why worry about other things.. This a capitalist market economy(does not matter how much we cry abt socialism) so pay when u want to pay but dont ask why so much.. atleast for optional goods. Basics well thats a different category fo goods..
this is really a good step by the RBI & its so simple as well as secure. atleast no one will be able to use stolen credit cards for online transactions
