Govt. must ensure that poors do not increase their population, take oath from all reserved categorey that they will not have more than one child as their contribution to nation. This will bring parity in 25 years, any attempt less than this will ruin our all development.
To provide condoms free shall reduce birth rate progremm has failed totally.Instead of reducing birth rate Tax payer's money is diverted for other "buisnesses". Similarly this program NOT ONLY SHALL WASTE TAX PAYERS MONEY BUT SHALL GIVE RISE TO ILEGAL CHILDRENS LIKE CHINA.
It would be better to have fewer kids. Say, one. It would be better to have the child early, say, when the couple are in their mid-twenties. Then take care of the child. Work well, earn well.
Yes, but State Govt. must be willing to introduce it and use its machinery sincerely and effectively. It can select educated people initially, otherwise it can become NAREGA type scam in many states. Will offering cash incentives provide young couples a reason to delay having children? - Yes. Do you think this initiative will provide long-term benefits? - Certainly

I guess the govt is giving Rs.2500.00 per year to buy condoms instead of distributing it freely.
The government is paying to delay having kids...wtf....instead they should pay to just have 1 kid per family. Overpopulation is killing India. People are just sccrewing like rabbits and putting out kids. Mumbai is the most populated city in the world. I am sure its the same way with Delhi and Chennai also. The resources are so limited that each and every indian is fighting with each other to get that little bit, let it be a job, house, business or anything. Its desperate times here. The rich are getting richer by exploiting and robbing the poor. The middle class are slaving away at their jobs just to put food on their tables. God help this country.

Certainly, it is a move to limit the population to certain level. But i doubt how far it is successfull.............
the goverment really needs to make a massive campaign with much larger fund allocation using incentives, disincentives, education, advertising . This isnt an idea, but i think in all the efforts so far the scale really isnt there. The efforts really really have to be on a masssive scale and soon.
I dontt think most schemes and efforts even end up targeting the group where the population growth is higher. The group is mostly the very low income group, maybe lower middle class and below with little education.
The goverment first needs to make it its priority number 1, which i dont think it is by a big margin. So only half hearted, fragmented measures on small scales are happening, with no real focus.
in addition the goverment should consider in incentives for getting a vasectmy done by men.
Also making a fixed deposit (and give other incentives directly to the parents) for the female child (to be availed by parents/child at a certain age) if the man gets a vasctomy done immediately after could take away the preference for male child which is a major reason for couples having los of kids (they keep trying thill they have a male child)
