Indians are with out any inventions. Indians copy other's Technologies. Indians are 50 years behind Westeners. Indians are good in Stone Architecture ie., making Temples, Mahals, Minars, Statues out of Stones. If import of Technology is banned, India will got to Stone Age. Indian Govt should follow Education system followed in USA, UK, Germany.

Sasank MGR might be right,tell a thing which india has inventes,we have 40 CSIR labs all eating away govt money.Our scientist are doing nine to five job.

Well you could justify your opinion, but you should not let down the whole Nation. It's not that somewhere something went wrong and you conclude an opinion about a Nation.

Come on guys, MGR and Vellupillai.. don't you see someone wants to make a point here..the same legendary point which many have made since 1947 and draggedthe country down and down and down. Its not good to always criticise but its also terribly bad to be blind and unrealistic.

meritorious students study hard but are, at times, unable to make it to cream B-Schools/engineering institutes...while quota-beggging people play cricket everyday,score low in entrance exams and still go to IIT/IIMs...
all schools, colleges, universities, cinemas, resturants, circus etc must be shut down immediately. government of india must circulate an advisory to indians not to travel except in emergency.
Education is formal teaching (today it is cheating) whereas skill comes by creativity,hardwork,dedication,govt motivation(sadly lacking govt already motivated highly by SC ST and other classes .minority and distributing jobs to them for getting votes) and by taking calculated risks.All these are lacking in our educational system.So we lag behind globally
They might have taken this sample survey for the top 50 colleges or university campuses in India.
The survey hardly talks about the colleges and students covered.
I hope they come out of the 1% top profile colleges and survey the remaining 99% colleges across length and breadth of India.
You will find that the Quality of Colleges, Faculty, Resources, Delivery Content, Cost to delivery ratio, employability will be highly disattisfied and could be to an extent of 100%.
Why do Indian corporates keep complaining about the employability of the students?
Why are Indian students not employable in the global market, except for few IITs and IIMs?
Why do scores of Indian students look for foreign universities and doctorate studies abroad? Even the IITs and IIMs need to have a foreign degree to make them employable in Global sectors.
I think these are some of the serious thoughts, which have to be looked in by Kapil Sibal and other education and higher education ministers of the states and centers. They are not meant to warm their cabin seats, rather they should start looking seriously into HR and education, lest the so called dream of a vibrant India can never be achieved.
My suggestion is to allow foreign universities to allow them to set their shops in India as regular universities offering degrees, postgraduation, PHDs and PostDocs.
India is a failure with itself e.x. DRDOs, DRDLs, Delhi Metros and all are failures without foreign support.
