A Query

When IIMs are planning to go paperless why not implement a payment gateway online to collect exam fees instead of having offline scratch vouchers.

The application is not transferable. That is to say, you cannot buy the form and sell it later for a premium. So when you buy the voucher in person, they record your details and later verify that the same person has filled the online application.

This is just my guess. I admit they can just open a payment gateway and anybody who wants to register can pay online without going through this verification process. Once the app. is online, it is not like anyone can sell it.

For an online transaction you need either a credit/debit card or net enabled bank account for payment. What if a student has not access to atleast one of this? Their rationale is right!!

Spot on dude, they will have a harrowing time this year and even the next, after a couple of years, the dust will settle and things will become easier, one of my cousins is taking CAT this year only as a warmup exercise, once he gets the hang of it, he will go full blast next year but you are very right, it will be a nightmare!

Does it matter in anyway ?

If it's tough for you & me then it's for everybody !

Remember Scores are calculated on the basis of percentiles not on percentages.

absolutely. cannot agree any more. if the cut offs do come down, it's only because not many have been able to score that much which means that the general average score comes down. so, it doesn't matter if the cut offs are low. but i agree it is gonna be difficult and needs a lot of practice before the real game.
