Why study?
by Sudhir Surwade on May 31, 2008 06:15 PM

Why do we need such studies, when its just a common sense that more you eat and less you consume (e.g. exercise) will lead to more retention in your body?

simple formula for weight loss
by Ayan Roy on May 26, 2008 06:34 PM  | Hide replies

if calories taken in > calories burned => weight gain
if calories taken in = caloried burned => no change in weight
if calories taken in < calories burned => weight loss

It really does not matter when you take the food. 2 small 1000 calorie meals are equal to 1 large 2000 calorie meal. It's like filling a tank with small amounts of water frequently or with a large amount of water less frequently.

The key is to healthy eating is to eat stuff which is low in calories but is filling, like raw vegetables, oats, fruits.
One also has to increase exercises.
