is HRA deduction taken care ?
by Sankar anarayanan on Mar 26, 2010 10:41 AM

Looks like in excel template for assessment year 2009-10, "Allowance exempt u/s 10" is not properly taken care. it is not getting deducted from gross salary. Also "tax on employment".

Caution: Do note down your password and secret question in a safe place. because it is very difficult to get forgotten password without them. This site is not like other sites which just mail your password to email id when you click forgot password link.

Mistakes in filing IT Returns
by kiran kumar on Jul 27, 2009 03:16 PM  | Hide replies

1st query : while filing the returns; I have made a mistake of entering the same TDS amount twice under 'TDS' and under 'Tax paid by employer'. Because of this the final form shows like the IT Dept has to refund the extra amount deposited by the employer. Now I would like to know the options left for me.
2nd query: I am salaried person under TDS for past 3 years. Unfortunately, I did not file IT returns except for this year. Now my question is, do I need to file for the previous years? What happens if I did not file? If I file now, am I eligible to refunds, if there are any?
