Learnt from a Guru..
by samit bisen on Jul 19, 2008 04:42 PM

A person who reproduces the visualization from his head to your head is a teacher, an acharya. The person who reproduces the experience from his being to your being is the Guru..

Life is a divine flow. The more river-like you are, the more you are in tune with life. But we have become stagnant. The Guru's whole work is to bring back the flow of life so that you start becoming joyous and utterly happy and blissful for no reason at all.

As you walk with the Guru, you walk in the light of Existence, away from the darkness of ignorance. You leave behind all the problems of your life and move towards the peak experiences of life.

It is an incomparable journey where the Guru leads you from the visible to the invisible, from the material to the divine, from the ephemeral to the eternal.

Rajan Mohan
Pranam to Guru Shirdi Sai Baba
by Rajan Mohan on Jul 19, 2008 11:26 AM

We have a rich tradition of Gurus in India, who emancipated the society from time immemorial. We are blessed in that way. They taught us many great things like simple and humble living, being honest, obedient, compassinate, loving and caring. They denounced material life and gave importance to spiritualistic attainments. Some spoke eloquently their thoughts and some lived, all others to see for themselves. They came in at different times and in different places but at regular intervals to uplift the mankind.

Our Guru Shirdi Sai Baba came at a time when our country was torn by communal passions, is a great seer who transcended the religious barriers and spread the message of harmonious living. Simple and straightforward, his teachings have the power of piercing one's heart and reforming the persons who read/hear them. He has been a great source of inspiration and saviour to his devotees wherever they are. Miracles do happen when one sincerely seeks his blessings. He smoothens the hardships in the lives of their devotees from time and again. Truly omnipotent and omnipresent, Sadguru Sai Baba lives in the hearts of millions of his followers for ever. Sai Maharaj ki jai.

Yoga classes
by Ashwin K on Jul 18, 2008 11:17 PM

I joined Yoga classes. It was weekly twice class.
My teacher was a middle aged(32 yrs, unhappy to be precise) teacher and the class frequency increased to 4 times a week.
When Yoga turned to KS i never realised.

After about 6 months I got a job in a different city and unluckily had to move. But later on I found through one of my friends that she had found herself another pet student, so am happy for her.

Anyways, Those were the best days of my life.

My Guru is a Womaniser
by Soumya Jayanth on Jul 18, 2008 06:54 PM  | Hide replies

I am hurt deeply to share this but I hope it helps every other woman like me to be cautious.i have learnt a course under an able teacher. He took special care of me as i was intelligent in the whole class.I shared my family problems also with him.I got a job as a software consultant. He started behaving differently and said he loves me a lot.He gave me gifts also.We had a passionate affair for a year.Later I had to move far due to job.Now he is with another student.Women, please do NOT trust any man, though he is a fatherly figure. Some men are like wolves waiting to punce on you.It is my bad luck that the most efficient teacher is a womaniser and I wish i did not meet him in my life.

Rare experiences like you felt doesn't mean you cannot trust any man. You had taken the words from an unworthy guru

There are various stages in our life and in every stage we get someone who show us the right way and help us to become good human being. At this stage of my life i have Guru who is teaching me "Shri Bhagvat Geeta"which i never thought i will read as seen those dhongi baba's i was not much interested in Religious books and places but when i started Reading Geeta then i came to know its not a religious book,it's more of a Life Science and we r are Arjuna's struggling in life with many doubts in mind.

Jayaprakash Balan
Every kid should be taught importance of this day
by Jayaprakash Balan on Jul 18, 2008 02:23 PM

I feel though there is no time for anybody in today's world to celebrate or remember Guru Purnima, ideally the importance of Guru Purnima should be taught and celebrated in schools itself so that the children and later grown ups understand the importance of Gurus in our life. I feel Gurus are the most important person in anybody's life because they are the ones who mould us to be a human being. Alas the relevance and importance of this character in our life is slowly fading away. And this should not be seen as an Hindu tradition or festival. It should be followed by other communities also because the concept is equally important for all religion people.

God himself is Guru
by Nandakishore Kangovi on Jul 18, 2008 01:51 PM

Biggest Guru in the Universe is BHAGAVAN SRI KRISHNA, who taught the mankind through BHAGAVADGITA. Great Purandaradasa said that Krishna is JAGADADIGURU, means guru to the whole universe. As God is one and we call him by many names viz.Krishna, Eswar, Bramha , Jesus, Allah etc let all of us salute the great God who is the Creator,Organisor,Destroyer!. Let us remember what Great Shirdi Saibaba said "Sab ka malik ek hai!. Let us pledge to spread love and affection in the whole universe. Let us try to help the needy, with whatever possible. VERY HAPPY GURUPURNIMA !
