Being from Cochin and knowing a few of the locals mentioned in this article. I found it very interesting and funny.....I sincerely hope the author liked the stay in Cochin.
It was indeed lucid and easy reading. I laughed often at the mild sarcasm. Being a Keralite myself, I can associate with all those characters you had encounter with. I wonder why you did not have a forced encounter with "Kathakali" - that is something the Kochi tourism circle normally is armed with. May be there is a next instalment!
You can not write anything better than this about Kerala and Keralans (Keralites!). An interesting article well written, true to represent that is everything Kerala. The only thing missing is reference to Gulf Mallu's and chumattu thozhilali (headload worker aka coolie) wich could have added more spice to this. Keep up your good work and we expect more such interesting articles.
One of the finest tarvelogue , I have ever read. Gives a feeling as if I was also travelling with you. Like to read more from you and thanks for the treat
