Cafel Museo Larco in Lima

It is very true that a restaurant is, in a way, part of the experience of a museum. I was personnaly very well surprised by the Cafel Museo in Lima and I really think this restaurant should appear in the list. The Larco Museum is a true wonder of pre-Columbian art, including the biggest collection of Silver and Gold of Peru. They also have a very appreciated erotic gallery and the storage area is open to the public, which is very rare for a museum to do so. The setting of the restaurant is absolutely wonderful and kind of reflects the atmosphere of the museum. You feel like within a work of art. It overlooks the lovely gardens of the museum. The food is fabulous. They have both typical Peruvian and international choices: Ceviche, Causa, Chicken, Loma saltado (beef, rice, and chips), pasta...This is not very expensive and well worth a visit. They also have a complete Peruvian cocktail list and make a very good pisco sour! Do not miss it if you have the chance to be in Lima!
