I felt guilty
by Nagesh Bhagwat on Aug 18, 2008 03:26 PM

She felt guilty for leching and hence decided to wash her guilt by expressing it. Unfortunately, books / blogs / biographies have become more of a confession. I can nderstand that about a blog, but not in a book.

Public display of emotions (read as reality shows), confessions (revealing your dark side) and the like do sell. That does not mean that we indulge in such vicarious stills that render us to be delusional.

Meenakshi - Your literary pursuits do not redeem your innocent sins. All the best

Hmmmm I wonder why... Perhaps because without reading you really cannot come to a conclusion. What do you think?

Review needed not excerpt
by Naveen on Aug 18, 2008 02:28 PM  | Hide replies

Instead of putting up excerpts/ eulogizing what a popular blogger the author is, I would rather see rediff publish a lucid review of the book. Is it yet another dreaded chick-lit that chronicles boyfriend troubles? I have heard/read/seen too much of those. Does it give deeper insights to the "single" angst especially in urban India? My curiosity is totally piqued. So long story short, publish a neutral review!
