I will say Avoid Balance Transfer. Do it only when in emergency because you also have to pay the processing fee and interest for that month(s). There is also one 3rd party service called www.2urhelp.com which actually makes shopping purchase on your credit card and then transfer that amount to your bank account. Credit card Bank will get this as shopping purchase in the statement, so there is no interest at all on that purchase. And the same purchase amount is transferred to your saving bank account. But this service takes around 4% one time processing fee which is much better compared to 12% loan on credit card or a balance transfer. But I encourage you to use this service only in very emergency.
