This festival does not promote gender inequality. I remember once I was pregnant and was hesitant to do this but then my mother-in-law told me that if I won't do he will do.(My Husband). So in some parts of Rajasthan it's the tradition that either one of the couple keeps fast for happy married life.

MY HUSBAND ALSO JOINS ME FOR FAST ON KARVA CHAUTH
by brijinder khurana on Oct 30, 2007 12:25 PM

I AM MARRIED SINCE 13 YEARS AND I CELEBRATE THE FESTIVAL WITH UTMOST FAITH. IN THE PREVIOUS YEARS OF MY MARRIAGE, MY HUSBAND WAS NOT IN DELHI BUT SINCE LAST TWO YEARS HE IS HERE IN DELHI AND IS KEEPING FAST WITH ME. ITS A GOOD FEELING THAT BOTH OF US ARE PRAYING FOR LONG LIFE FOR EACH OTHER.

Every Festival has its own charm, importance and purpose. One can see the glamourous women with very high sensitivity of love and affection towards their husband.Anyone can feel thrilled.
Those who are talking about gender in-equality etc., will not understand its joy of feeling of sacrifice in love, they should neither celebrate it, nor criticise it.

I am suryou are the types who eats overly-well and still does not do anything for the 'Republic of India'! Dude, you are hilarious, and not in a good day. You are the real sissy to not recognize anything close to affection or sacrifice! Sissy sissyyyyy!!!!!

Hello,
There is no visibility of moon here in Singapore and my wife is not ready to break the fast. Is there any means to break the fast without the visibilty of moon.

Thanks,
Rohit
