Mother's Day is really needed for those of us who take our Mothers for granted. Most of the present day guys and gals just consider their Mum's old fashioned. They dont realise the fears and concerns their Mum's have for them. To a Mum, her child is always a kid even after he/she becomes a Father/Mother him/her self. Mother's day is a fitting day to pay a tribute to the person who brought you into this world and made you what you are.
Mothers dont expect anything from their children in return for all that they do and their love is the best example for what is called Unconditional Love. A nice hug and a kiss daily is easily the best gift a Mum can get from her child.
Its okay for people who consider that one day in a year is enough for Mother. But for people who consider Mother as a living God all days in an year is Mother's day.
in our indian culture we live with parents but still do we value her ??? do the new generation student(youth) listen to there mom advice ...of not going to late night outs at disc and bar? do new generation couple want there mother in law with them ???? ...at least on this day value her....
India has not advanced to the western culture. celebrating this kind of days is suited only to western countries, as they all stay away from parents and dont even speak even for a month or so. Ideally spending a time with their mom for a day will work out.
Here in INDIA, we are still attached to parents no matter whether we celebrate with her or not on that day, we will always take care of Mom.
Celebrating this kind of days, like moms day, fathers day, valentines day, childrens day, teachers day, MAY day is excuse for office goers to take off.
everybdy plz wake up n do some thing 4 u r mom as we people may dont even know tht wht is this day is but we dont forget to celebrt the valantine so plz do celebrate this
This is totally a irrelevant Day for us. Media has a major share in spoiling the people to lose the Indianism and copy the western culture.Let us follow or learn the technology and science from west.We always and daily pray for their health and happiness, we care for them everyday and a special day with such an advt is totally unnecessary.

"irrelevant day"?????? is it too much for u to bear if we take out a special day for mothers? does it in any way mean that we stop caring for them the other days of the year! when will people stop cribbing and start appreciating things like these...
Its another of a Hallmark holiday. I really get irritated by all these "days" and the expectation the media generates. If one does not buy a gift on valentine's day one is not a good lover, if one does not buy a gift on mothers day, one is not a good son. This is so irritating. We should have such days according to our indian tradition. We have Rakhi and Bhai-dhuj. Maybe we should have a Kamdev day.
i wanna wake up my mom with a nice cup of tea and fresh jasmine flowers.......and treat her to an evening spent in a spa so as to wean away all the tension worries she has been bottling up in herself while breezing through her hectic life........then write a note to her telling her what i feel for her and what she means to me
