RE:Man became more sexually exploited then women
by Sunil Shetty on Feb 17, 2007 07:21 PM
This seems like a figment of your fertile imagination. I think you need to give yourself a break and take it easy on yourself for a while. I just cant believe all that you have written. If all that you have written is true and if you are that loyal to your wife then please get another job. If you are good at your work then its only a matter of time. So rather than write at rediff go post your resume at a good jobsite and keep your legs crossed till then. Anyway you havent got a salary raise in some time so what are you waiting for?

Buddy Man can't be Sexually exploited
by Deepak Yadav on Feb 17, 2007 05:56 PM  | Hide replies

No man can ever be sexually exploited.Law of nature is :

1) Males try to mate with as many females as they can.It is not about in one's mind it is in their blood.

2)Female always choose the best male to mate.

If a man thinks he is getting sexually exploited remember rule no.2.

by Jaya Simha on Feb 06, 2007 11:25 AM  | Hide replies

Hi Seema, There is no such cases being arised like "Sexual Harrassment in work Places" as it is done only after aceptance between both..Ex...I am an employee in mnc with lot of enthusaism at work..I crak silly comments on gals while i meet every gal at work place..Some agree n give a smile..Some repeat it to me..Some in rear cases dont agree..n say not to comment..In other cases some gals encourage to comment..and come forward to take a comment...IT IS IN THIS CASE it later turns to Sexual Harrasment..Becoz..Ladies invite us and finally turn aback and report at the eight time..

So you say that women encourage you and so you guys cross the line. I think they feel its ok as long as its in a playful way. But when you guys cross the line thats when you go wrong man. So stay on your side of the boundry and let your words do the talking rather than your hands......

workplace harrassment
by das on Feb 04, 2007 07:45 PM

with more and more interaction at work between males and females, the distraction from work towards attraction for either species cannot be avoided. formerly, even in schools where male female students had to study together, they were segregated and not allowed to mix together.the elders were feared and respected and so the girls and boys were safe from any sexual thoughts and most certainly from sexual harrassment of any kind. in today's world, where out of economic considerations males and females have to work together, the natural urges crop up in work place which is very hard to put down.

dear Readers,
Yes in our social life, women are treated like individual property, due to economic condition they are being exploited. But recently, some reverse situation is also started arising, some ladies make this, situation and gain sympathy, now they also started exploiting men.Once you enter their net it becomes defficult to come out.
MAY BE THE FUTURE TREND FOR MEN THEY WILL PAY FOR THEIR DEEDS.HISTORY ALWAYS REPEAT.

Hi Sachit,
I faced the same problem but did everything in such a way that people ultimately knew the truth. In my previous workplace one lady was always trying to make sexual advances towards me. She used to touch me in obscene manner. She often made comments which involved her private body parts. She straight-away said that she wanted sexual favours from me etc. Like in your case, she also told me that she will tell everybody that I was trying to outrage her modesty.
This is what I did:-
1. I tried to avoid her as much as I can. Of course, being in the same workplace, I could not avoid her completely. But I avoided as much as I could. Also I tried my best that we were not alone; whenever we were together I tried for somebody else to be there with one excuse or another.

2. Even when somehow we were alone and she was making advances towards me, I explained to her that what she was doing was wrong and that I hated it.

3. I sent emails to her saying that she should stop all such activities.

4. When I sent emails to her, then she sent reply emails making sexually explicit comments. I saved those emails but I did not let her know that I was saving the emails. I also saved copies of my emails to her in Sent Items folder.

5. When she threatened me that she would bring bad name to me, I was not bothered. I told her to go ahead and do whatever she liked.

6. One day she really did what she had threatened. That day I showed everybody the emails I had sent her and the emails she had sent me.

Having said the above, let me accept that in majority of cases, it is the women who are harassed.

Oh, forgot to mention. In my case, I was much above the corporate ladder than her and was highly respected in the organization. Being higher in the corporate ladder might have (just might have) helped me. I am not sure what is the situation in your case.

Useless Article
by CaretoCall on Feb 01, 2007 12:23 PM  | Hide replies

The article is to feed the minds of some persons still suffering from "Cindrela Syndrome". I have known no woman who has been harassed for her being a lady. In fact, respect for male or female is there on the basis of what they are. It appears that some persons are still pursuing with this theme " a la Bollywood script style" writing this to satiate their inadequacies. In fact I have seen the woman or men crying hoarse for equality in work and discrimination are the ones who are absolutely UNFIT or technically unsound for the job they perform.

Power can corrupt, so either Man or Woman can harass the other. Though I believe thatits upto the "junior" to handle the situation in the right way. I accept that its easier said than done, but in my 16 yrs of service, I havent been taken advantage of. I think you have to be strong enuff to stop the advances in the budding stage itself.

Sexual harrassment of men??????????????????
by AMOD KARNIK on Feb 01, 2007 12:05 PM  | Hide replies

Reading some of the messages in this forum makes me want to laugh and puke at the same time!!
Seriously, give us all a break!! Unless you are a Tom Cruise or a Brad Pitt with a Mercedez to boot, women in powerful positions would not even give their subordinates a second look! Women(the minority who stray) generally have a fling with men up in the social ladder, not some non-entity in the organization. So if there is harrassment of men, it is not sexual.
On the other hand, i don't recall even a single incident where i or my friends from College days were ever eve-teased by a group of girls.
Cheap slimy comments, dirty passes, bottom pinching in crowded buses, whistling provocatively, well well, these things are not done by women!!
Even in a corporate setting there are many guys who have a fertile imagination, so even if the female boss is being nice and friendly, there are morons who will draw whatever conclusions they want.
Even if a woman wnats to have a fling, she will have it with a guy who she likes and respects, not some salivating loser.

"On the other hand, i don't recall even a single incident where i or my friends from College days were ever eve-teased by a group of girls."

my modesty has been outraged twice till now, n tht too in the streets of delhi. with tears in my eyes i wud like to tell u tht i have been a victim of adam teasing n am not a tom cruise or a brad pitt n i cant even dream of a mercedes forget abt owning one.... a male friend of mine had a similar experience once.

but the prob is tht it aint any prob for the guys. infact thts like making the cut. one such exp in life will act as an ego booster for life.

i sympathise with women who face sexual harassment at workplace. a strict code of conduct must be followed in every office to put a proper check on this menace. any leniency on the part of the authorities must be dealt with strictly. infact the authorities must be punished in the same way as the sick man who commits the offence.

There is a difference between chivalry and naive, inferior losers with a low mentality that only men chase women.

You belong to the latter group loser. you are as cheap as the eve teasers in your own way

"Women(the minority who stray) " ......do you have nationwide stats of the women of who stray or don't?

"Even if a woman wnats to have a fling, she will have it with a guy who she likes and respects, not some salivating loser."

All these women told you before they had a fling is it? M***n par excellence

This takes the cake off all the stupid comments

"Women(the minority who stray) generally have a fling with men up in the social ladder, not some non-entity in the organization. "

A fling with one up the laddder is less immoral than a one less in the ladder? does that make sense?

Each and every comment in your post is illogical ,senseless and braindead.

Reality is seven oceans away from your comments.

Now on what basis have you drawn the conclusion that i'am a naive guy with an inferiority complex? Basing an opinion on a guy who you have never seen or met is as naive as it can get!!
Drawing conclusions based on your observations(keeping eyes and ears open!!)does not equate to having a complex! Moving around with eyes and ears closed and believing what you want to believe is naive and kiddish. And Satya if you have the simplicity of a country yokel, that is not my problem. If i start tailoring my comments for every stupid hoi polloi like you, then i may have to stoop to the level of a chracterless spineless individual who lives in a fantasy land that has no connection with reality.
Indians are generally fatalistic people - that is a generalization, does it mean that i have nationwide stats on Indians?
"Do you have nationwide stats on who strays and who does not" is as naive as it can get!!
Well, men who do not go around with hungry lecherous eyes and who have an identity of their own are chivalrous enough to give women the benefit of the doubt. Unfortuntely you seem to belong to the category that thinks that any girl is a cheapstake which is not true.Maybe your sense of self worth is just so low that any attention from any plain Jane makes you feel that you are Tom Cruise.... Yuck! Yuck! Having a fling is a personal choice the woman makes, that women are drawn to men who make it in life is known even to teenagers, yet you do not seem to appreciate that simple fact. Leading a hedonistic debauched lifestyle is a personal decision, who are we to moralize? Logic says that every move in the corporate sector has some monetary end!! Having a fling with a senior who can make a difference to a woman's career makes atleast some sense, nothing to be gained by having a fling with a junior, this is just pure logic. Sometimes pure logic does not work, so what is the big deal?
Next time grow up a little bit, and yes add a dash of pragmatic realism, add a little maturity, get a dose of self worth, you unfortunate puny loser and you are not as bad as you think you are!! Seriously Satya, you are not that Bad!!
All the best,
AMOD

How gets harassed?
by vinoo chouksey on Feb 01, 2007 11:01 AM  | Hide replies

Do this seven times See, you can not universalize the issue, woman do get harassed by men, men do get harassed by women, more so when public sympathy is with women. Every unsuccessful Ashik becomes the savor and he also joins the woman in harassing the fellow men. Need of the hour is to strengthen the women in underprivileged society and rural background. Generally speaking, women are harassed but the laws framed to protect them are misused by a section of women to settle their personal score.
Issue need to be tackled delicately.
