Last year papers
by Vimlesh Mittal on Feb 09, 2007 10:15 PM  | Hide replies

Solve as past years papers as many as possible and time yourself as if you are appearing for the final exam. There is no other exercise better then this. This makes you use to tests/exam and in your final exam you will not even feel that you are doing something different since most of the questions are repeated with some data here n there. Do not panic and do not be over confident. At times its a tendency to start solving 1 question per section AVOID IT and do it and once you have attempted entire paper and if there is time do it. Also, at times there are wrong questions in the exam so do not panic and beat around the bush to solve such questions go to another one immediately if you find anything wrong there just leave that some space to complete it later DO NOT CANCEL IT since you get full marks for attempting wrong questions.
ALL THE BEST and GOOD LUCK!
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Sorry the line somehow removed PLUS sign. It is as follows:
times its a tendency to start solving plus 1 question per section AVOID IT and do it and once you have attempted entire paper and if there is time do it.

always start from last question.
by Sanjeev Sharma on Feb 08, 2007 07:59 PM

You will think how?
See when u will start from starting u might left some question of 6 marks which u know but not able to complete in time.So i want to tell u that start solving from last so that if u can't complete in time u will lose only marks in 2 marks question.

Practice!Practice!Practice!
Do easy questions first.
Attempt tough questions later.
You have to score in the exam and not do research .

made up quote
by on Feb 07, 2007 06:43 PM

Be honest Shilpa, you just made up this "Mathematics is what defines life on earth" and attributed it to Einstein so that it read clever, didn't you? Never found it on the web anywhere, so unless it is some private communication...well!

Maths should be loved not feared
by partha dutta on Feb 07, 2007 11:54 AM

I personaly believe mathematics is a subject, which needs a clear concept and a lot of practice....So while preparing for exam, one should try to solve each sums from their prescribed textbooks. and during exam, ya it is very important to go through the paper, and better to start from easy sums, as it builds up the confidence...and sets up the rhythm right.....
