It will definite reduce stress since both are papers are of same kind, if one is unable to perform better in one exam he has the chance to do it better in the next exam.
One of the concerns expressed by students is the section in which there are multiple correct answers. We are given to understand that the candidate gets to score full 5 marks for each of these questions if he is able to figure out all the correct answers. On the contrary, if he is able to get only part of this answer right that is, he is able to spot say one or two of the correct answers among the multiple correct answers when there are actually three correct options in the choices given he stands not only to lose all the 5 marks on that question but also is given a negative marking of -1.
Any fair system should reward the candidate for the correct answers given by him even if it means part of the answer. It is travesty of justice to nullify the correct answers given by him and also impose negative marking just because the candidate has not identified all the correct answers. For the sake of good order the candidate should be given his due for identifying even one correct answer in case the question has multiple correct answers. Of course the candidate can be penalised for any wrong answer like in earlier system. I appeal to the Joint Admission Board to review this part.-Saumya
Iam an aspirant of Jee 2007.In my opinion new pattern may lessen the stress and it may be exciting to take the new pattern test but, problem is that they have not made it clear whether candidates will have to clear each one of the individual subjects in each of the two exams or what.Such uncertainities must be cleared.Thanks.
i just wanna to pass on this message to all the IIT aspirants:remember one thing ;iit is all about relative grading.so donot bother urself with the pattern change etc.if the paper is hard for u then definitely it would be hard for all the other aspirants taking the test.so then everything boils down to relative performance.chalo then me signing off .bye and wish u all the best for ur exam regards harmeet singh iit kgp
Instead of changing paper formats every year, efforts should be made to provide level playing fields to all the candidates so that hidden talents, specially in the country side, otherwise deprived of so much costly coaching shops flourishing in every big town these days.
