I opened PPF a/c in SBI in 28/3/1983. Now I want to withdraw the entire amt as on today i.e. 12th July 2014. Can you guide weather I can withdraw now?Is it advisable to go for withdrawal in July to get the full yearly interest?
I will be glad to know how the p.p.f interest calculation is done.I have opened an a PPF account in SBI and have deposited a sum of 3500 last yearie 2012 but received only Rs 73.00 as interest on 31st march 2013.on inquiring the rate of interest is 8.00% so it should be Rs 280,is the bank paying me less???? if so where to complain.
I will be going back to my native country Germany and want to close my PPF account since I will not return and it is also not possible to transfer Rs.500 every year. The cost for the transfer will be higher than the amount deposited. And for a nominee the flight and other expenditure for coming to India and close the account after my death will also be higher than the amount in the account. What would you advise?

If i have two PPF accounts i.e one in my own name and another in the name of my child as a guardian. will i get interest on both accounts up to maximum limit of Rs. 1,oo,oo0/- on each account ?
