Hi Dr Gautam,
Its nice to find a happy vet in the internet.
I make a living out of writing and was always wondering what a person who attends to horses and cows may be feeling.
Tell us Dr Gautum, do you attend delivery cases of cows. Have you attended difficult labour cases or all calf births a smooth song? Do recall you experiences of a difficult case, if you do not mind.

Hi! I am where I most love to be!
by Sangram on Oct 29, 2006 02:57 PM

Hey friends! This is Sangram. I am an IT engineer. I love being a software professional. Very much fond of calling myself a 'brainy guy', I am pretty satisfied being a Techie. The job involves a lot of Nerves! And this is a real challenge. I am quite excited. Not that I am a seasoned Guru. But I have certainly tasted blood and willing for more. The future is bright here. And Challenges abound. I am Excited. I wish everybody all the very Best! :)

think of the oldest profession
by ikbal on Oct 28, 2006 11:20 AM

When tired of what you do think of the profession
1.which our fore fore fore fathers practiced
2.which extracts from the belly of the earth & fulfils the belly of the man.
3.Which caters to the real economy.
This profession is in need of your creative inputs, my dear friends.

IT in boom
by omi on Oct 28, 2006 09:40 AM

its not actually IT tht the problem its the position u r in. actually an avearge engg shud be thankful to this IT boom coz of which he gets a job, though h has to change his field. but ther r actually no reasons to hate it. if u feel u r too good for hectic donkey's IT work thn u r free to get a job in ur field, but the problem is people join IT coz ther r no jobs in ther resp fields. u shud ve it in u to be a programmer. like fast bowlers programmers r not made, they r born with those skills.
stop making a fuss of it. firstly find whether u r fit for IT or not, dont waste time in cursing it n sayin its nothing but a way to earn foriegn exchange. always remember " make hay while sun shines "

Money Motivates
by Absilon on Oct 27, 2006 08:52 PM

After reading all the posts, one might think 80% of the ppl in India are Software Engineers and most of them crib. Well, I have a Computer Science degree which, I hated from the core of my soul. So, I decided, let me do an MBA. Did that and joined an invstment bank in London. Still not satisfied with the job, though not totally unsatified. BUt yes the spark wasn't there.
One fine morning, went to the office and resigned. They offered me a hefty sum to stay back. I accepted.
From then I'm very happy. I've left the search for the elusice dove - job satisfaction. One goal uin life - to have a million pounds by the end of 2008. After 2008 i'll set the next goal. But till then i'm happy to work 16 hrs a day and sometimes weekends for that 1 million.

Lesson -: Movey makes life beautiful. Especially when your dad didn't have much.

Software industry is the best for me
by Avinash on Oct 27, 2006 06:47 PM

I was never very ambitious in my life. I did my schooling because parents wanted me to do. Then went on doing engineering as I didn't get good marks in medical stream. Did a course in software engineering and after a little struggle got job in small software company. Right now working for a giant MNC which yesterday only acquired another MNC. Best thing abt this industry is we get paid well. You get 5 days week. Work pressure is moderate to high. But it's ok. Got Some onsite opportunities.
Frankly, I never thought I could buy a flat in one of the plush areas of Mumbai in my late 20's and could afford movies in multiplex and dinner in hotel every weekend.
Because of good salary I'm getting, I can contribute monetary way to some NGOs.
All these because I'm in software industry.

I love to do coding
by Sai on Oct 27, 2006 05:44 PM

After completing my 10th class in 1994 i joined a short term computer course. That was the first time i saw a computer. I was so much excited about learning ms dos and playing few vdieo games . I have developed a strong passion for becoming software engineer and i am enjoying the work now as a s/w eng. Eventhough work pressure is more people get good money, better opportunities and chance to visit to different places etc..
