I am happy to see an article about saving and investments of down to earth people. While I personally have been active and profited in the markets (equity, metals, options and real estate)I feel articles in this section should also focus on swindlers and the nitty gritty of real estate in urban India. I feel there is a vast ocean of grey area between the impression articles in this section give to what the average Joe (or Jagannadh) finds when they try to invest money in avenues other than post offices or banks. Come boom (bull) time I get calls from many people who are refered to me by people I know and the one question they come with is " I heard stock market is is a boom, I have 5 or 10 K or a lakh to spare, can you multiply it by 10 or even 50 times in a month or so?" I hope the experts at rediff can help put away some of misconceptions through the articles in this section. I can save myself some trouble by refering them to rediff. Thanks again for the opportunity. Dippadu
