Omitting responsibilities
by Vickrant on Oct 09, 2006 01:47 PM

Its not ideal couple to discuss their life style in public as they run from responsibilities like having kids and parents. Two people can stay together in a small formed relationship with pure enjoyment only for expenses

Well guys, we all know that its a typo which has not been corrected, I mean 16 lakh=16 Million. It should have been 1.6 Million, is it? I do not understand if why we are getting so superficial and looking into petty things and not trying to understand the reason behind the work. We Indians are all good at pointing finger at others and that is the reason why we were ruled and still get ruled by GORAs all over the world though we are one of the strongest work force available for them.

Getting back to the article itself, Rediff has done a wonderful job by starting something like this, we all can setup an example for ourselves from the cases mentioned and comments provided for each one of them and make use of the expertise provided.

discussion says they dont want to have kids ...well wehen they are not having ny responsibilities on their head then there is no point discussing their expenditures and investemtns.... why not rediff discusses some cases where indian middle class cases are discussed with more emphasis on dealing with the balancing of investemtn and expenditures....

Sorry! This may not be a part of the actual dicussion but we are talking money here... so just wanted to correct the understanding of a lakh & million ...
I think, 10 Lakh (10 * 100000) = 1 Million (1000000)[ A Million has six zeros]

"Anjali and Uday currently live in Mumbai in rental accommodation. They bought a three-bedroom apartment in Delhi three years ago for Rs 16 lakh (Rs 16 million)."

And what are we supposed to comment on? Are you suggesting us to donate some money?

problem with the figure.quoted
by VamsiKrishna on May 05, 2006 12:01 PM

Hi all,

The article is a good one to start of but the strategy depends on the level of understanding between the husband and wife.

this article has a small glitch in the second line,Rs 16 Lakh has been incorrectly quoted as 16 million("three years ago for Rs 16 lakh (Rs 16 million").

please correct this ....
