The message author want to put across is hope-less, its after all one person's personal decision/feeling whether he wants to live his life or not, you can choose between 2 1. Earn and live your life. 2. Earn and Save for Old Age I will go with the 1st choice as if I am spending my time and efforts to earn why not spend and live happily. If you save for the future by the time you realize you are wealthy you might have lost your precious time of life, when you can spend some money and can enjoy the life. I personally feel this kind of Crap articles are from Investment Companies to promote their services, so that people look out for some financial advice from them. Rediff as a company should not entertain this kind of Articles.
Here is what you observe a classic example of indian mentality biased towards savings and just savings. THis is a proven fact that it is very important for country's economy that people spend but unfortunately such articles again tries to make people save and save during their entire life. I dont know for what and which time of their life. Would you enjoy a hi-fi music system in your old age? ...probably not. Then what the mess is this article....completely biased...shit.
i think it was one of those "Kill - your - Time" kind of articles, where the author simply puts up whatever thought strikes him/her first !! No offences here !
Rediff should show the profile of the author in news articles. What seems to me, this particular author bought some street book on wealth making and uttered these worthless to the public. I really doubt whether he has any exp on investment , forget about wealth making.
Your article is very good for the following reasons. 1.Focus 2.Vision 3.Not confused with what everybody is doing verses true introspection. You have also ended by saying deciding the right stocks is the challenge.I am a novice in stock understanding.I wish to invest but lack the guts.I wish to invest in long term equity. Keep writing good stuff!! Regards, Ruby
Wealthy and rich are words supposed to be used by people who can afford all and every luxurious in life and yet have a lot to save and invest too . They are not to be used by others.
I definitely take the side of the author. The article makes some sense if considered for a long term. A bit more on shares and stocks, market trading, first time investors and other similar articles wud help more to the Young generation.

I do not claim I know a lot, but if given a chance, I may share whatever little I know.... any idea how do I put up articles on Rediff!
Some one tells u read Rich Dad Poor Dad and you have aspirations to become rich and also to share it with others...so you write a stupid article and rediff obliges....pl write some stuff which will make some sense........and whoever the author is.....get ur facts in place...just bcoz some one told u Mr Buffet does not diversify, u say u also won\'t....What Rot is this!!!!!
I personally feel that these types of articles doesn't do any good for the viewers. Its after all he/she is the one who is going to be planing how to spend the money. When a person is earning money he/she has got the every, more precisily, the only right to plan his spending. No other has got any thing to do with that. Earning and spending are purely personal !!!!!
