Hi, I am working in a Software Company, I want to claim my House Loan. The property is belong to Me and My bro, My Company is asking the self declaration from the Co owner. Can any one provide me the Sample self declaration letter.
I am working in a software company. I have been claiming HRA and Housing loan since last 3 years with my previous 2 organisations under sec 23(2)(b). The House is at Faridabad and am staying in Delhi and workplace is at Noida. Company is not allowing me suddenly now to claim both the benefits on the ground that the distance is similar and that employee turnover is high so later on incase anything is asked by IT dept, they shall have to reply.Please advise Regards Dinesh Goel 9811096401
Kindly recheck your reply. I do not think that one can avail both, the HRA and Home Loan Repayment Interest component for the benefits for Tax exemption in the same financial year.
Could you please clarify? To make it more clear, I shall put it like this eg:
If one is getting an HRA of Rs 10,000/- per month i.e. Rs.1,20,000/- per annum and paying actual rent with reciept of Rs. 8000/- per month in a METRO then he will get an exemption of Rs.8000 X 12 = Rs. 96000/- and the balance Rs.24,000/- will be taxable.
