Penny wise....

We had chosen a red eye flight on Air India from Delhi to Mumbai. Never again.
1. It took us forever to check in. About an hour. Which made us sceptical about when the flight will actually take off
2. Then another hour before we actually boared
3. And the crowd was worse than a Churgate local in peak hours. We actually got elbowed out of the way in standing in the queue to board a PLANE!
4. Freebies all. The gentleman next to me actually ordered milk instead of tea/coffee. The hostess actually asked him if it was for the baby or him
5. Chips packets were openly pocketed by the stewards instead of being served

All to save Rs. 1500.....

Air Deccan/ avoid at all cost/don't travel even free.
by mafatlal on Jan 03, 2006 06:19 PM

I travelled by Air Deccan from Hyderabad to Kolkata and it turned out to be nightmare, the flight was delayed and no explanation, the flight which was to take off at 1.30 took off at 4.00p.m. Even inside the air craft I was told that they will sell snacks at a nominal rate, contrary to this I found everything was double priced than outside, Tea was 3rd Grade selling for Rs 15!!! and no Sandwich, no samosa, only lays wafer packet this is snack they offer!!!! This you can very well buy from outside also.

My flight from Kolkata to Raipur was cancelled and they had my phone number but they never cared to inform me about cancelled flight, I was lucky one of my friend was working at Kolkata air port and he told me in time about cancellation otherwise I would have spent going and coming Rs 500 and lot of troubles.

For cancelling Ticket over phone it was horrible, first you don't get connected, once connected you hear standard recorded message: you are in que , one of customer representative will atten to you shortly, and after half an hour someone will attend you!!

I cancelled my ticket on 20th December and till date ( 3rd january 2006 ) inspite of my repeated calls they have not given me refund!!

Beware of this 3rd Grade air line.Don't travel even free, it is better to travel by Train.

mafatlal.
