Don't waste time in thinking abt love and hate
by Pari on Aug 22, 2006 08:58 PM

Don't waste time in thinking whether u hate or love ur boss (Until and unless he/she has a unmarried good looking doughter/son ;)). Do your job properly because you are paid for it. If you have unsolvable problems with your boss then say good bye to the company. If u r talented u will servive anywhere. In my 4 yrs of work experience I changed 6 jobs but not because I hateed my bosses!I really been lucky in getting gr8 bosses.

do you love or hate your boss ?

whether to love or hate your boss:

i feel that nobody will advise to hate his or her boss. to come to a position of boss, he would have been elevated from several levels and a boss in general has the full knowledge of the organisation.

an employee has to learn many things from his boss as he will one day become a boss and one should understand that the present boss was an employee previously. instead of learning from books, it is always preferable to learn the work in a practical way from the superior or seniors. so there is no question of loving or hating your boss, it is only important that the employees learn as much as possible from their boss.

managing bosses
by sudhir suri on Aug 18, 2006 07:03 AM

For my younger friends
All your life you will have a boss(including a wife at home). If a boss is hard task master, thinkyou are learning to work hard and to exremes,a training which is so essential.
Managing them ,through any means direct /indirect,ethical/unethical is part of lives game ).Running away is not an answer .Facing the situation throug superior intellect is the answer.
Every man has good points and weak pints.Finding chink in the armour of the knight is the answer. You have to wait for the opportunity ,that is the trick of the trade . I was always the devils organizatin. But my bosses swore by me for honesty of intentions.
As far as your wife is cncerned let her feel that she is the boss in day to dy matters (concerning the house). Let the decision in major areas be your. Off course you will need to convince her of you larger vision and ability to view things dispassionately.

My Boss...
by Upasana on Aug 17, 2006 10:26 AM

My boss is superb at her work and an equally good human being.
She's mature enough to understand how to handle people.. She's far sighted and knows how to set goals and work for them.. Out n out achiever and there's lots to learn from her.

I'm lucky to have her as my mentor.

about the boss
by vanessa kapadia on Aug 16, 2006 07:39 PM

I think the saying that the boss is always right is incorrect. It should be the boss is mostly right. Another abnormality I find in Indian bosses is that they are culture vultures and not in the least flexible. They hardly think outside the square and most of all they are too soft. This is in contrast to the ones who have been out of India and learnt their work through the hard way (which most Indians think it otherwise). They are the ones who bring innovation and better ideas in the company and they have in them the capapcity of being a hardliner when the going gets tough.

love your boss for a good reason
by subbu on Aug 15, 2006 04:01 PM

boss is not a pig or a puppy to love or to hate. you are paid by your company to work. i like my boss inspite of his lack of knowledge, leadership quality etc. because his wife is beautiful and pampers me very much. i also believe that he may not be able to satisfy his wife's needs in any way as he does to his office and staff. I love the way things are going on.

so there is a good reason for loving your boss because if he were not there, how could i have met his beautiful wife. She's lovely.....!
