Are you ready to have a baby

This article by Kanchan Maslekar looks funny to me.
Women have been created by God to become mothers. This
is the single most pious activity for women.A woman
cannot be happy in life unless she becomes a mother.
I salute the modern day woman for their capability,
intelligence, knowledge, smartness etc. They have got planning for PhD,post doc research but have got no planning for motherhood.Motherhood cannot be postponed
indefinitely.I do not beleive in the criterions offered
by Kiran. The moment a girl crosses 28 her first priority should be to become a mother and all criterions are secondary. The problems shall have to be
solved as and when they come on the way.

The world has changed a lot in the last ten years.Today, it is necessary that husband and wife have a very good udnerstanding aming themseleves. Therefore, as Samiran suggesths that the problems should be solved as tehy come along the way, is not applicable anymore.

Inspite of a child, women want to work and thereofer, support of thwir husbands is utmost after teh child birth.

Ready for baby

The most important part one has to consider, what I feel is the pschyological factor. Father is thinking his needs are unfulfilled and mother is thinking that she has achived as a women and the child is her world.

hi there,

This was an excellent article and gave a lot of insights ,only if it could also explain about the complications one could have in her pregnancy it would be really great. Problems like preclemsia, allergies n other issue would help the reader to know things in a better way.

Thanx

Add to your list a few of my own..

Are you aware of the responsibilities of bringing another life into this world?

Are you comfortable with these responsibilities?

Are you ready to give time/energy to your child?

Are you prepared to put your child before your/your spouse's interests?

Regards

Shankar Srinivasan

Hi,

Your article throws light on all the major issues related to Motherhood and is quite helpful. Motherhood is not easy. You need to be prepared.Pre delivery is suspense which the first time Mom undergoes.Post delivery, you have to divide and devote your time. I underwant all these and now my son is in school. I had a good parental support and hence it was easy for me to devote time to baby and husband. I had to leave my well paid job so that i can take care of the baby.

As the author has pointed out, you really need to be financially strong and also have good reserves of energy and be calm as far as possible as baby demands most of your time and energy.

My suggestion to FIRST TIME MOM is speak with your partner and then take a wise and sound decision as being an Mother is a joy as well as you need to be prepared well for it.
