The Checkin was chaotic but the blame is not entirely to Spicejet , Spicejet is Value for money and is a replacement for III tier and II tier AC travel

I travelled by Spicejet from Delhi to Kolkata. The flight was in time. Plane inside was well kept. The service of water ans a few bikkies was also good. Staff persons were polite and decent.
The ticket rates could further be brought down with the help of reductin in taxes and fuel surcharge. Thanks.

air deccan experience

Continuation of message:

i have found go air, king fisher etc also very good and punctual offering good fares.
when we travel at reasonably affordable cost, we must be prepared to go through some inconvenience, understand what the airlines are trying to do under given conditions. now AD has tied up with JET to accommodate its passengers when the need arises to extent possible.
We have to be patient, understanding and give due support and co-operation to these airlines and do not react in anger. These airlines are a boon to business travellers who otherwise have to go by train where also delay is atleast one hour. imagine going to delhi in any airlines in two hours which takes atleast 30hours from Hyd and even 3 hours delay by air is ok.
these airlines have come to stay and competition is only going to make passengers happy and international airlines are now coming on LCC basis from malaysia/middle east etc making travel affordable.
please plan in advance, reach in advance and co-operate with staff as you have many airlines to choose from.
enjoy when it lasts and i wish all well.

air deccan a bad experience
by rajiv dhawan on Aug 27, 2006 05:15 AM

I travelled by air deccan on 21-8-06 from delhi to amritsar .The experience is 1. the flight delayed by six hours but they did not intimated me. 2. no compensation was given to me as food or comfortable stay for six hours at airport with small children. 3. staff was not responding.4.we were boarded to a small aircraft even 45 minutes before takeoff.4. A C was not on ,everyone was sweating and children started crying then a c was put on but of no use [we didn 't feel cool air even upto amritsar].5.Seats were not spacious and were broken.6. So hot inside , when we demanded water from air hostess, she brought a half litre water bottle and demanded Rs.10 .Somehow we reached amritsar, all of the passengers took oath not to travel by AIR_DHAKKAN again even if they provided a free ticket

My experienec in flying from Mumbai to Kolkata late night flight in Air Deccan was close to a punishment. The plane got off almost an hour late.More so there was no public address regarding flight information at the Mumbai airport. To top it all the flight was full of mosquitos. And I had to walk the aisle many a time to ged rid of the irritating noise over the ears and pricky bites!!Mosquiotoes is the most unimaginable thing on board an aircraft even if its budget airline!!I guess Air Deccans innovation of 'free' supply inlieu of low budget offered. Thanks to the good looking airhostess who helped me keep my mind diverted and stooped from screaming murder.

budget Airlines : A nightmare experience

Air Decaan :
There is no gurantee that the plane will fly...... so always be prepared for delay (for sure) and cancellation at any time. Sometime you may get an SMS(then consider yourself very lucky).....otherwise be ready to spend one night in some Airport hotel(of course from your own pocket). Ask the ground staffs..... they seem to know nothing(sometime you get even wrong information)...... sometimes they are very rude...... seems some college guys and gals are recruited with no prior training or else about how to work in aviation sector..... and last but not the least....
PLEASE DO NOT KEEP ANY APPOINTMENT AT YOUR ARRIVAL DESTINATION IN NEXT TWO DAYS AT LEAST!!!!!

I was very inspired after hearing the budget flyers in India...... I am in Europe for quite some time where cheap flights of RYAN AIR, Germanwings.. Air Berlin etc etc are quite good & well managed..... and thought its going to be the same in India too....... but at the end.... I am totally depressed...... and will never try it again for sure.

That's what I experienced in last December for my journey from Delhi to Kolkata and back..... both flights were cancelled at the end hour with no prior information...

I have never heard anything like this before. Its really awful. Moral of the story is, "Dont travel by Air Deccan..If u still want to, dont carry any luggage other than hand baggage!!"

Spicejet is the BEST
by Jay on Aug 07, 2006 02:45 PM

I have frequently travelled in Chennai Bangalore sector by Air Deccan as well as Hyderabad - Chennai sector by Spicejet because the timings suited my travel.

But Air Deccan is clearly the worst amongst all budget airlines . Their staff is clearly has the worst behaviour and they never take care of passengers. Travelling by Air Deccan is more like travelling by Bullock Cart which flies!!!

Spicejet is excellent as they have best staff, excellent clean seats and above all they maintain perfect timings with NIL cancellations. Also their e-ticket confirmation is best. Hats off to SPICEJET for even beating every other low budget or even high budget airline in the country
