Hi guys,

Jet Airways has a brilliant Student Plan for people going abroad for further studies to countries like UK, USA, etc… They offer Excess Baggage Allowance of up to 23 kilos and travel insurance. You get a Matrix Sim Card to call back home and some other privileges, too. Paste the link in your browser.

I just thought you would be interested in this offer. Thanks for your time. This is Neha Thomas helping Jet Airways with their Student Plan Marketing efforts.

i am amazed at rediff publishing things without verifying...has the author really been to Purdue? When? I have serious doubts about such claims, has rediff seen her degree? This is a totally misleading article, and that too from someone who earned a degree in the US...amazing!!!!!! here are some points to justify my point:

Claim: If you carry medicines without a proper prescription, you will not be allowed to board the flight.

Has one ever heard of such a thing? One might not be able to carry the medicines in the absence of prescription, but he will not be prevented from boarding the flight.

Claim: three suitcases and a handbag can be carried on a flight to US.

In the past three years atleast, I have only seen/read a maximum of two suitcases and one handbag. Never 3.

Claim: Once visa application is made, it takes 10-15 days for the decision to be made

I never heard of that in the past few years. for all personal interviews regarding visa, decisions are made instantly unless some more documents are needed by the officer.

Got Admission to a US School

I can't believe the junk posted by a supposed Purdue grad. People are paying 10-12K rupees for this advice? Most of it is useless and some is just wrong. It almost seems a way to drum business for the consultant. Please ignore it and use common sense. In today's world, with Internet at your disposal, there is nothing to worry about. Please do not heed to this advice.
